Jim Morrison Completely horrible and terrible customer service at the Newport Beach AAA office! As a 48 year member of AAA, I am appalled. I never ever expected that anyone could make the DMV or the Post Office look like a well oiled machine when it comes to serving its customers. The customer service at this office is non-existent, in fact I doubt they know the meaning of the words "Customer Service". The entire staffs projected attitude suggests that they take pride in making their customers wait ridiculously long periods of time in order to receive the most basic of services such as DMV renewals. I visited this office 10 days ago and finally walked out after waiting 30 minutes. I returned today only to experience the same lengthy delay for seemingly no reason, they had plenty of staff but no one was assisting the members who were waiting for service. At each visit there were more employees than customers but they seem to enjoy watching people wait while they strutted around chatting in groups pf two or three. Today I asked to speak to the manager and a Natalie Carpenter came out and acted sympathetic along with a condescending attitude and made it very clear to me she could care less about my concerns. She said she was sorry about the wait but her employees were all on break or running errands and then immediately joined two other clerks manning the front desk and chattered away while 6 of us waited for one clerk who was handling the DMV desk. It apperaed she was in training because of the length of time it took her to handle each members paperwork. By the way this was 4:00PM in the afternoon not exactly rush hour. It has been a very long time since I have seen an entire group of people who had absolutely no interest in providing any type of service to its clientele and clearly projected an attitude of complete indifference. In my view the problem stems from the top. Ms. Carpenter should be demoted to entry level clerk and sent back to basic training and learn the meaning of customer service. The vast majority of the clerks clearly lack interest or pride in their respective jobs and probably should be retrained and transferred out or terminated so this cycle of indifference can be broken. If you are a AAA member looking for poor service, indifferent attitudes, rudeness or simply want to meet a group of lackadaisical lazy misfits the Newport Beach AAA office is your go -to place. If you are looking for something better than that try the local DMV.or Post Office I assure you that you will get better service no matter how bad it is! Tonight as I write this review I am disheartened, disgusted and ashamed to admit that I am a 48 year member of AAA, I see no reason to renew my membership simply to enable the kind of inneptness I experienced in my last two visits to the AAA office in Newport.Beach.

I came here in 2015 after having lived in another state all my life. During that time, I had one insurance company that I literally NEVER had to interact with with the exception of writing a check every month or talking to if I had a fender-bender, whatever. AAA here just cannot seem to get their act together and I have had to contact them several times in the last two years for all kinds of administrative issues, including them having someone I have never even heard of on my policy, thanking me for being a customer for more than 10 years (nope - just the two years as of this month) and most recently they could not find my CA drivers license information so notified me they will be canceling my policy for this reason even though I left the info on the underwriters voice mail a week ago. Somehow they managed to renew my policy last year even though apparently they have never had my CA license on file. And my license was issued the month I moved here two years ago so I am bewildered as to how they could not have asked for it in all this time. Seriously frustrated by constantly having to watch every thing they do and feeling like I have to babysit a lot. Im glad so many of you have had a positive experience but I am definitely ready to start shopping around.

Cant say enough good things about this company! My husband and I recently switched our car insurance over to triple A because they gave us the cheapest rate by far and considering it seems we dont have the best driving history. Also, I went here for the DMV services and the woman who helped me out went above and beyond. She found a couple of SMOG testing locations that were close to my home and printed out the information and directions for me. While we were waiting for everything to process I had mentioned that I needed to get a CA driver license so she went ahead and provided me with a booklet to review for the test as well as made an appointment for me with a local DMV since they couldnt provide those services. Mind you, I came close to closing time and she was sure to provide me with the best customer service and made sure that I had everything completed despite it going over closing hours. Its always been a pleasant experience dealing with Triple A, we will continue to sing your praises. Keep up the great work!!

Terrible. If you use your tows that you pay for, then you become ineligible for upgrades. This allows them to rape you for $10/mile instead of letting you upgrade and enjoy 100-mile tows. Its a scam to get you to pay hundreds of dollars for a tow.
