I started at the gym when I was in high school, and I continued to workout there until about a week ago. Crossfit is a major portion of how the owner makes her money. Now, for the sake of the argument... a business is a business, and needs to make money the most efficient way to grow. But the disproportion of attention from the gym side and crossfit side…. was overwhelming support for crossfit. And everyone knows it, and everyone feels it. When time came for suggestions and ideas to better improve the gym portion... the owner didnt want to listen to people like me, and my friends, who had ideas for the weight lifters there. The growth of the gym sky rocketed as Castle Rocks population increased over the last decade, and she had MULTIPLE opportunities to hear people like us out. There was no incentive for her to improve the gym portion sense we were the lower end of the money bracket per month @ roughly $30 compared to $120 for crossfit. It would take months to fix a simple broken cable!!! We suggested many different improvements such as more machines in there, ESPECIALLY more back machines. Really all we wanted was a gym that serious lifters could walk into, and turn into a real power house. Somewhere in Castle Rock that people could go and seriously train, as serious as the crossfit side trains. And if you’re from Castle Rock, you know there is no such place. I don’t wish ill on any body or any business to fail. But I have a feeling that there will be a realization from her, and the management, there now that people are leaving for 24 Hour. I hope the best for her employees I truly enjoy all of them!!

After moving from Austin TX and being very involved in my gym there, I wasnt looking forward to joining another gym. There are some corporate gyms around the area, but at a corporate gym, your just another number. I had emailed Fran (the owner of The Gym) and briefly gave her an idea of what I was looking for. She emailed me back within a couple of hours and was quick to invite me to a Crossfit class that night. She didnt ask me to pay or to get a membership. she just wanted me to come and try a class and see if it worked for me. That night after the class, Fran was at the gym and was so welcoming. She took the time to introduce herself, ask about my experience and I could tell that she cared. I returned the next night and decided to join. You end up getting the first month free which was a huge bonus. I cant imagine not having my CFCR family during this transition time from moving from Austin. Everyone at the gym from the owners, personal trainers, crossfit coaches, and members have the same goal: to be better. There is always something going on, and its hard to make it thru check in without being encouraged. Fran also has worked out in several of the Crossfit classes I have been to which is neat to see the owner so involved and in it with you. I cant speak enough about The Gym, Fran and her employees. If youre new to the area or if youve been in CR and havent checked this place out., I would highly recommend giving it a shot. You wont be sorry you did.

I work out of town so I always look for a box everywhere I go. Ive never felt more unwelcome in a gym anywhere else than I felt at Crossfit Castle Rock. What I love about crossfit does not exist at the box. I went in to work on a few things this past Saturday during some open gym time. Not one person said hello to me until about 45 minutes after I got there. A guy walked up to me and asked what I was focusing on. I told him nothing in particular just was boerd in my hotel room and thought I would work out for an hour or so. He then said to me, "its nice outside. You should leave and go for a run." I couldnt believe that was the only interaction I received from anybody at this box. A muscle head telling me to leave. I still have a week worth of the gym time paid for and I will not go back. Being on the road and away from my family is hard enough. I dont need to be treated like garbage on top of it. I would not recommend going to this box if your a traveler like myself. They treat you terribly. Ill stick with my hotel gym from now on.

Ive been a member now for one year and I absolutely know that this IS the best gym period. The gym provides a friendly, supportive, fun, and unpretentious atmosphere! The trainers are real and very knowledgeable, they truly have your whole person in mind when training. They do not believe in a one size fits all program, the trainers are matched up to each person depending on the clients personality and goals! I also love all the different group classes that are offered every day...my personal favorites are the Zumba and kettle bell!! But they offer yoga, stretch and tone, Corebar, boot camp, Pilates, cycle, cross fit plus many more. The owners are always there to help out and encourage us and really listen to our needs! The gym is not the fanciest but the people who join are real and real about their work outs and have FUN!! I call The Gym, my gym family. Come and try it out, you wont be disappointed!!!! Free trial classes and one free consultation for Training.

Ive been a member of The Gym for almost 4 years...longer than Ive ever stayed at one gym. I finally found a place where Im never bored, the instructors are amazing and the price is right! The boot camp and TRX classes are always challenging, and the trainers--Andrew and Jocelyn--are encouraging, fun and will help with modifying moves if needed. If you want to be challenged and watch your body change, you wont find a better program or a more knowledgeable staff. Along with the classes, Andrew offers a Women and Weights program that has helped push me to become stronger and more confident in my workouts. He tailors a program just for you, shows you everything you need to know in the weight room, and has suggestions on nutrition as well. My kids (6 & 4) love the Kids Club! The staff is fun and attentive...theyre always happy to see my kiddos! I truly look forward to my "gym time" each day!

I just love it here. Fran, the owner, knows her clients by name and is frequently seen working among her staff. She seems to have good relationships with her employees too. The staff are very encouraging and non-judgemental. I really like that that lovingly correct me when Im not doing something correctly. They are very knowledgeable on how to avoid injury, and offer advice on nutrition and things you can do at home to get more out of your workouts. I was very anxious about joining Crossfit, but was inspired by one staff member in particular that started her journey in a similar situation as I am in and has had great success. I started my journey on a free 7 day pass and day 2 decided to make a commitment to the Crossfit program. Its addicting. I highly recommend this place if you dont know where to start. They will get you going on the right path.
