We were with The Cleaning Authority for almost 6 months. When we originally met with the owner he promised that the cleaners would perform way more than the cleaners actually did. For example, he promised that they would clean the shutters, the tile in the bathroom ("even getting down on their hands and knees with a toothbrush to clean"), and the down draft part of our stove. However, the cleaners never did any of these things and my wife and I had to constantly call and get someone to come back out and clean the parts of the house that they cleaners didnt clean. The company was good at sending cleaners to clean the parts of the house the cleaners missed the day before. However, we got tired of having to call and constantly "nag" the company to do the job they said they would initially do. In addition, the areas that they did "clean" didnt appear to really be cleaned (food or juice stains still on the kitchen counter), but instead just straightened up. They also do a "cleaning rotation system" in which they focus on one area of the house each time they come out. That sounds like a great plan except that the area what is supposed to be the primary area for cleaning that week doesnt appear to look any cleaner than the other areas they are just "maintaining" that week. Finally, they promised to try and use the same cleaners to clean our house, but failed to deliver on that promise as well. Therefore, due to these issues we decided to cancel our service with The Cleaning Authority. If you decide to use them I wish you the best of luck and hope that your experience is more positive than ours.

We had the Cleaning Authority cleaning our home weekly for about two months. The first week was good, but the second week I had to call them back to do some cleaning they missed. That wasnt the real problem. For some reason, when taking out the trash they would always leave the trash just inside of the side door to the house, so I would have to take it out when I got home. On our original walk through with the owner of the company, we documented that the trash was to be taken out back to our blue dumpster, so on two occasions when I was home I explained to the cleaning staff that they needed to take it out back to the blue dumpster rather than leave it at the door. Twice they did then the last week before I terminated their services they left the trash bag OUTSIDE of the side door. We have a dog in a fenced yard, so you can imagine how that turned out. I called to see what they were going to do about the trash all over my yard and the owner blamed me for not properly documenting my account with directions to put the trash in the dumpsters. She "didnt know what else she could say to make it better". FRUSTRATING!

I have been doing business with The Cleaning Authority now for almost a year and they have proven to be dependable and professional on all levels. I have somewhat of a unique situation, and they have been willing to go the extra mile in working with my schedule. I have seen different cleaning ladies come and go over the year and all have been completely trustworthy. I have read some of the reviews on this site and think that some customers might have unrealistic expectations of what a cleaning crew can do in the allotted time they are given. There may have been a time or two over the year that I felt something did not get done quite up to my standards, but overall they do an excellent job. By the way, if there is the least problem, a simple word to Melissa or Kara will take care of it. I had a situation a few weeks ago at one of my properties that required some serious cleaning, and Rebecca & Jessica got the job done. They cleaned for me again today and did such a fine job that I felt the need to single them out and also to confirm my original review of this fine company.

The original team that was sent to my home was phenomenal. They were friendly, trustworthy, hard workers. However, the team that was sent to my house the last month of service only stayed at my 2700sqft house for an hour. It wasnt long before I noticed that, despite being "knick knacks hand wiped week", my decor was dusty. The stairs werent vacuumed their last visits, the baseboards not dusted. This is when I decided that I wasnt paying for another week of service. That said, I think it really depends on the team you have. Had I rated them earlier I would have given them 5 stars, so satisfied was I. If it wasnt for my earlier good experience I would have ranked them 1 star. I probably could have talked to the owner of the franchise and Im sure he would have made it right for me. But I really didnt want to "tattle" and get people in trouble.

I had a similar experience as John S; please read his review; it is very accurate. We were with The Cleaning Authority for 3 months. They did an okay job of cleaning. However, they did not clean normal things well like the toilets, kitchen counters, and sinks. They rarely did the extra work they said they would do in the cleaning rotation areas (not wiping down the doors, not wiping base boards, not cleaning bathroom floors, not wiping down knickknacks, not wiping down window seals, the list goes on). They were good about coming back and cleaning what was not cleaned or at least doing a better job than the day before. It was a hassle to have them come back each time. The price is not worth the job they do in my opinion. Its a month to month contract so try them out for yourself and you may be happy with their services.

I have been using The Cleaning Authority bi-weekly for several months now and have been pleased. I was using another company for a while, and there was only 1 person cleaning, and with this service I get 2-3 people cleaning for the same price. For me, its a great value and it goes more quickly. Their attention to detail far surpasses the other company, and thats what I appreciate most. Marissa and her team were great the first several times, and then Lauren and her team have taken over, and I have been pleased with these gals and their friendliness, consideration and promptness. I will probably get more picky now and start inspecting the baseboards and things like that when they are on rotation to make sure its good enough, but so far I cant think of any complaints.

I hired them after I met Melissa and her team. The group are bright, articulate, and very reasonable. I explained that I was injured and needed a big clean first. They came for the walk thru on a Wednesday and made arrangements on Thursday and cleaned on Friday. What service! Team 5 came and they were awesome. So pleasant asked great questions got to it fast. I have two dogs and they were so kind to them - considering they were the ones who caused all the dust and hair cleanup. I have had cleaning services in the past and no one cleans, presents themselves as professionals, and does top notch like them.
