Bad Hitch Wiring Update 6/20/2017 - UHaul issued a refund for the harness and labor once my complaint was escalated via the corporate customer service route. Giving an extra star for the appreciated response. The harness I paid $120 for was apparently the wrong one for my vehicle according to the installer (announced at my appointment after waiting a week to get in). Wanting to be ready for Memorial Day weekend I agreed to have the installer bypass the harness by splicing directly into the tail light wiring. I was assured this would work fine. Unfortunately I didnt test with our trailer until the day before our camping trip. It didnt work! Took it back to Uhaul where it seemed to work with one of their small trailers...except the running lights which hadnt been hooked up...more splicing. Took it home and hooked it up, didnt work. So after spending most of the long Memorial Day weekend and all the following week trying to get things working I finally took our car to a Ford service center (after scheduling out another week of course) which educated me about modern day auto circuits. Apparently the little black box thats tied into the harness and that was bypassed, is a taillight converter unit that protects the body control module of the car from overdrawing current. Thankfully the circuitry is well designed and didnt get fried. Instead, when it detected the extra current it just shut down that part of the BCM and didnt send anything at all. Dont ask why it worked on Uhauls little trailer and not with my popup. Amount of extra current needed by the popup? Dont know. Given the experiences Id already had with the installer, the bad advice and all the wasted time, I decided to take the Ford service centers advice on another place to have the wiring redone. $170 later I have a properly wired passenger van and can pull our popup. Ive tried to get a refund from Uhaul for the harness and labor associated with the wiring but have so far been unsuccessful. My experience trying to get anyone from this location to return a call has been another source of frustration but I wont elaborate on that!

Dont use Uhaul at this location. We had the worst experience possible. We rented a truck and made reservations at 3105 N. Navada Ave. Colorado Springs, CO. We got to the Uhaul truck with a free month of storage based on their promotion. We got to this Uhaul storage location at 7:00 am and were told we had no reservation there. So we had to drive the truck all over from one unit to the next based on what this manager had told us. Mind you we were doing this on my sons 3rd birthday. We had to turn our truck in by 1:00pm so were finally sent back to the original storage place at 12:30 pm to off load truck. We took the rest of our day offloading truck. My son was asleep before we finished and we missed giving him a cake. Well, trying to be reasonable we chalked it up to a couple of mistakes gone bad. So we are in middle of buying our first home and all of the sudden Uhaul pulls out 139.95 out of our bank account four days later. So we almost lost our home because they pulled this money out of our account without our knowledge almost putting us in the negative with our bank account. When trying to work through both of these problems we had countless different transfers and no one that could help. Unless you are whiling to be ignored and transferred for days on end to resolve an exspensive issue as our problem was then dont use this Uhaul. Worst experience with a company ever.

Will never use u-haul again. I had a truck reserved at this location to pick up tomorrow, to move to California friday, and I got a call today saying that we now have to pick up the truck in Pueblo, an extra two hours away, even though we had a truck reserved in Colorado Springs. Not to mention that was already an inconvenience because we live in Littleton. When I called to ask why this had happened and what could be done about, I first had to tell the story to six different representatives, and when I finally got to talk to someone that could actually help, they said there was nothing that could be done about the situation. They said my choices were to cancel the reservation or to drive to Pueblo. Highly unacceptable when Im supposed to be picking up the truck tomorrow and that there is not compensation offered or even any understanding of the situation. Again, never using u-haul again. Especially when they can apparently change reservations for their own convenience or lack of communication about resources available.

It is 10:38 Am I pre reserved a week ago I have been in line awaiting service over 45 minutes I checked in early which was pointless at this point I asked if they could compensate me for my time in regards to mileage simply refused. The guy was not pleasant. I am not happy at all with the service, while waiting in line they have the door open you can hear employees attaching hitches the loudest noise ever, with music blasting on top of that noise, its very hot in hear too, I mean I absolutely appalled at the poor service I was given, keep in mind Im still in line awaiting to be served, they have about 10 people in line, with only only one gentleman serving whos name is Steve. Dont ever rent here, its horrible I plan on tweeting my followers on this location. Its worth driving to another location for better service, they simply blamed the hold up on computer system issues, not acceptable. Its now almost an hour awaiting service. #ElliezMadness

We used this location for storage for three months. The facilities are nice and the location is convenient, but I had quite a few frustrating experiences with customer service. On three separate occasions I arrived to find that the sliding doors to the storage were turned off and had to wait for a staff member to unlock them. When we no longer needed our unit, we called several weeks in advance to set up a cancellation. When we moved out I checked in with one of the staff members and he said we were good to go. However, I was charged for an additional month two days later. After talking to someone at a call center for half an hour, I was sent an incorrect invoice that still showed a balance due and had to call again and was transferred three times before anyone could tell me what was wrong. Not sure I would rent here again. Parking is also a hot mess.

They flat out stole from me. I had purchased a tow hitch online and after scheduling conflicts arose the vehicle I bought it for had degraded and I stopped driving it. They installed my part on someone elses vehicle and claimed that I was lying and wouldnt give me my money back. It was pretty easy for them to accuse me of lying since they had an easy process, the manager took what I told him, made up another story that was not what I had told him and then whenever I spoke to people at u-haul they just said my story didnt match this managers and so I was a liar. Never got my $250 back. Dishonest thieves here. Avoid at all costs
