Avoid Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop at all costs. In Denver there are plenty of body shops to choose from, but there is absolutely no reason to support these unethical, shoddy crooks. I took my car to Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop to have some simple, minor body work done, mostly repairs to parking garage scrapes, and I can honestly say the car looks worse now than before I brought it in. Addison completely botched every single aspect of the simple job. I should have expected trouble when I had to call three times in one day to simply find out when the car would be ready. Each time I called they had promised to call me back to let me know, but never did. If they could screw up something so simple, I should have known theyd wreck my car. Specifically, Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop messed up the following areas of my car: First, the color of the repainted areas does not match the rest of the car. Its not radically different in color, but its obvious Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop simply plugged in the OEM paint code into their reference database and painted whatever the computer told them. Thats fine for a new car fresh from the factory, but a good body shop will blend the paint to match the actual color of the car, which may have faded or darkened over time. Second, they made a very clumsy attempt to fix a slight dent in a door by bending the body panel, most likely with a wrench or by hand, and badly cracked the original paint in the process. It looks worse now than it did before their supposed "repair." They didnt make an attempt to correct or cover this damage up in any way, and obviously never even looked at the car before delivering it to me. Third, they charged far more than their original estimate, and claimed that these additional charges were necessary because of additional labor involved in the botched bending of the door panel, which cracked the paint on the door. In other words, I had to pay extra to have them add damage to the car, as though this was some sort of bonus. Exactly what their supposed reasons for attempting to rip me off are hard to discern, because Alysha, the manager, is so inarticulate and uninformed about the basic workings of her shop that she was incapable of forming a coherent sentence to explain herself. Either that, or she is a practiced liar. Addison Auto Repair & Body Shops proposed recourse was that I could have left the car there for several more days (I needed it that day, not later) for them to attempt to fix it. However, they refused to detail what this supposed "fix" would be, and they refused to adjust their possibly fraudulent total that they insisted I pay them to get my damaged car back. I argued with them in a vain attempt to get them to do the right thing and fix their damage and lousy work, but honestly, the thought of dealing with these scumbags for any more time than I already have makes me vomit a little. If they did such an awful job to begin with, why would I want to leave my car and give them an opportunity to damage more of it? Unfortunately, I will need to take my car to another body shop in Denver to have all the poor work from Addison Auto fixed. Obviously, I am also contacting a lawyer in Denver to see if I have any legal recourse for dealing with with these folks, as well as filing complaints with the Denver Better Business Bureau and AAA. Crooked shops like Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop should be shut down or run out of Denver. Im thankful sites like Google give an individual customer the opportunity to inform other customers of potential rip-offs. Addison Auto Repair & Body Shop embodies the worst stereotypes about crooked, shady body shops. If you want to get ripped off, feel free to take your car here. Denver, beware.

All the reviews online and friends I talked to recommended Addison. I was excited to potentially find a body shop/mechanic close to home. Couldnt be more disappointed. For the most part, the actual body work completed by the shop looks good and Im semi-happy with that. But, the process to get it all done was a disaster. I had asked to see the adjusters estimate when it was complete because I wanted to ensure all the damage was noted. After a phone call-voicemail or two and an email or two left unanswered for a few days, I still wasnt given the estimate information, except for the price. I never did see the estimate until I saw the invoice. I wasnt told when the repairs actually started. While repairs were being done, I received no updates even when requested over the phone and email. I was told my car was ready 3 hours before the close of business. I arrived to pick up my car and upon my inspection the estimator, adjuster, and technicians had missed some of the damage. I could have avoided this had I been provided the estimate in the first place. So, I had to take my car, not fully repaired, and set up another appointment with the shop, adjuster, and rental car. Again, after several voicemails and emails, I never saw the second estimate or was notified of progress. Just given a few hours notice prior to my car being finished. This second time, I went to pick up my car and again, the work looked good except the shop had neglected to clean up all the paint drips, dust, etc. from the interior around where the work was done. The estimator had to paper towel down some of my car! In addition, they still didnt get everything correct, I was missing a rubber bushing on my hatch gate...they replaced the left set and neglected the right set that had a bushing missing. I left Addison the second time feeling downright crummy. The hassle of the accident was enough, but the shop made it worse by not working with me and honoring my very simple requests for communication. I am just disappointed. All the reviews rave about Addisons customer service, but I did not receive the same treatment for some reason.

Brought my Lexus in for repairs to the rear bumper. I wasnt really concerned with how much it would cost, since some one else was footing the bill, I just wanted it to be done right. One of the reasons I chose Addison was their listing in the Denver Christian Business Directory, since I really didnt know where to go. When I got the car back, the paint was a perfect match on the parts of the car that were sanded, painted, and blended. The bad was that the rear bumper that they told me was replaced with a new Lexus OEM one just looked like it didnt really fit... Body panel gap variations all the way around and the color was a bit off compared to the other parts of the car that they repainted. I just accepted it when I got the car, I was just happy to get my car back (I also took the bumper off a few weeks after receiving it and noticed that they lost one of the screws for the bumper and just replaced it with a drywall screw, plus they broke a few clips and just jammed them in the holes where they were supposed to go). Fast forward 8 months and I get rear ended again. Brought my car to another body shop to get the rear bumper replaced. The new shop shows me the old bumper. Yes it is Lexus OEM, but it was actually painted previously, indicating that it wasnt new (but maybe they just messed up on the paint a couple of times). Looking at the invoice, the price that was paid is about right for a brand new bumper. Either Addison was scammed by their supplier or I was scammed by Addision. Either way, I lost. Im just glad I got rear ended again to get it right. Now that my bumper was replaced with a brand new one, the body panel gaps look flawless. If I have minor paint issues that I have to pay for in the future I wouldnt mind bringing it into Addison. But as far as real body work, I wouldnt give them any of my money.
