Exemplary customer service! Purchasing a new (to me) used 2009 car with sidewinder type keys (typically misnamed laser keys) I wanted to acquire additional master and emergency access keys and have them cut, so I could avoid for the life of the car any chance of a lockout, or pay the ridiculous amounts Stevinson Lexus charges for these. Not only did the dealer tell me that they could no longer order the emergency access (flat, wallet-style) keys for an 8 year old car, but they would charge me $40 each to cut them if I could find blanks on the internet. Really, Stevinson??? Another local Golden, CO locksmith referred me to Clint at Colorado Security Products, after calling several other companies who would not even talk to me unless I needed a high-dollar emergency mobile lockout service. I left a VM asking where I could get these key blanks cut, and Clint promptly called me back. He patiently explained how these keys are cut. It requires a very expensive milling machine to do properly, which few independent locksmiths outside dealerships own. (I do believe he can provide this cutting service when required, but outsources it to someone who has the machine.) He also explained why these machines will get more rare: as cars evolve to having pushbutton starters and proximity fobs in your pocket to open them, these milling machines will become obsolete as a typewriter. So Clint advised me to acquire the spare blanks and get them cut (probably at a Toyota dealer, who does not rip off its customers as routinely as Lexus does) sooner rather than later if I wanted key-loss-worry-free ownership of the car. He was providing this information for free to educate a potential customer who would not be buying those blanks from him or having him cut them. That level of professionalism is rare in 2017. It tells me that customer service is as or more important that maximizing profit for Colorado Security Products. How very rare. So Clint gets my enthusiastic five-star YELP, and I look forward to using his company for any future lock work I may require.

I recently called this company to find out what it would take to get the alarm working that was in my house when I moved in. I had previously contacted several other companies for quotes on the service, as well as what the monitoring fees would be. The woman who answered was pleasant, and set up an appointment for that very afternoon. A salesman came out, and did a thorough job of going through my house and giving me options, depending on what I wanted to spend. Turns out, technology is such these days that I was able to purchase this upgrade for a minimal cost that would allow me to manage my home alarm system right from my smart phone! I thought that was very cool, as the other companies did not mention that, and they were quoting me more then these prices just to hook up what I already had. And what made this deal even better is that they offered a huge discount if I paid for my monitoring for a year in advance - and there was no contract! The price was less then half of what I had found in research of other companies, and I can cancel at anytime. I was thrilled! The technician came out as scheduled, and was friendly, knowledgeable, and completed the service quickly. I will be recommending this company and this service to my friends and family.

We recommend this company highly. We choose this company because of their employees and they did not disappoint. We were so impressed with Heather, who is a long time tenant of ours and always has conducted herself in a professional and respectful manner, that when we needed to have our damaged security system replaced, we requested the estimate from her employer, CSP. The system needed was not a typical security system, it required special designing and installation procedures & the system pricing had to fall within strict guidelines. We had called other companies in the area and it was outside their area of expertise. Nick came to assess our needs first, listened to us and designed a system he felt would meet those needs and then both he & Rob worked with us on the final design and installation. Both Nick and Rob were very professional and stuck to the estimate. What few quirks showed up due to the unusual nature of the system were quickly ironed out, and the system has performed flawlessly since.

Giving three stars because Im assuming Ill eventually get my lock back... I called this morning about bringing in a lock to be rekeyed. I asked how much and how long it would take. I was told 10 minutes, if there was a locksmith in the office. Well, Id have to drop it off during my lunch break, so I didnt expect that. They asked if I could leave it, and I said yes, I just needed to pick it up today. They said theyd call when it was ready. I never got a call, so I checked the website to see when I needed to be there. "Open 24 hours", it said. I made sure I was there before 5:30. It was closed and locked. I called and said I needed to pick up my lock. The man who answered said that there was nothing he could do. So frustrating. Maybe I can take one of the locks from my back door and use it where this one was to go, for tonight, and just stuff the back door with a towel, but I shouldnt be needing to even consider that. Very poor communication.

Hard to recommend - while the people are nice, I find the company is very disorganized which makes the service end up lacking. Follow through is very poor (messages never get returned, service calls never happen, etc.) and the ability to get what is needed from them just never seems to happen. I think id give them 4 stars for personableness, 1-2 stars for follow up / follow through, and 1 star overall because they were never able to fix the system that they installed after 5 appointments(and 4 months of back and forth), while it only took another security company just :30 minutes to get our system back up and working....which CSP didnt like as they refused to give either me or the new company the system codes out to allow them to fix the problem that CSP could not. I ended up switching my service over to that new provider.... which cost me $200 to have a new transmitter box installed, but that was worth it as I lost all faith in CSP.

I wouldnt exactly say "Loved it," really, but they deserve high ratings for the job they did for me. The day after Christmas I had a need to re-key some locks. I called CSP&LS and they took my name, said someone would be at my house in the afternoon, Chris showed up as expected, he re-keyed the locks, they charged what they said they would, the job was done expeditiously and Chris did not leave a mess. What more can one expect? Now, I suspect that theyre not as good as "Loved it" but if you need a job done at a reasonable price then this is a good place. The hope is that by receiving good reviews companies will be more inclined to treat their customers properly and when they do they deserve the recognition. CSP&LS did and so...

My son locked me out of the house this morning - for the 5th time this year - I was late to work already and I was freaking out!!! I called the first locksmith that popped up on my phone, and they said they could be to my house in 45 minutes! NO WAY! My boss recommended CSP, so I called them, and they said that they had a guy within 15 minutes of my house. THANK GOD!! He arrived in about 12 minutes, and not only did he get me in, but he sold me a lockbox that he had on his truck. PHEW!! Problem solved!!
