FIND ANOTHER RESORT!!!!! I took a short getaway to relax, I contacted the reservation department to book an ocean view room in a quite section of the hotel. Kathy was her name, suggest I go with the partial ocean view room, we looked at the pics online, and it appeared to be beautiful, with a great view of the ocean. When I arrived, First impression, staff was rude, and appeared unconcerned about customer service, the first lady I spoke with at the check-in desk was not friendly at all, never smiled, appeared very annoyed, and robotic, I had to ask the man standing by the luggage desk to get my bags, and he looked confused as if it wasnt his job. After my unimpressive check-in I went up to my room which was next to the elevator (not quite), and did not have an ocean view at all. I quickly returned this time I got another lady named Phaola, I explained the problem, and I must say she took her time trying to find me the room I reserved, and paid for, finally she tells me, " we dont have a partial ocean view room", the only room she could only offer me a part Inter-coastal part street view. WHAT!!! I paid to see the ocean from my room. I then asked for a refund, not possible, ok can I speak with a manager. No manager ever came to speak with me, she offered me a full ocean view room, but of course I had to pay for the upgrade, and she kept trying to force me to take the mini bar key, I knew not to accept it, based on other reviews were customers were charged for the mini bar, and said they did not use it. WOW!!!! This was only the beginning... this expensive room was the same size as the other, and the decor was nothing special, there was a musty smell and smoke like odor in the room, and the awful puke green carpet, and matching couch reminded me of my first apartment in Jr. College. This whole check in process took about an hour, and just when I was about to shower, and relax, I realized I had no luggage... I then had to go back down to the front desk and get my own luggage, the same guy was just standing there, and when i said Sr, Ill take my own luggage up to my room now, he simply said Ok, and pointed in the direction were all of the bags were sitting, I could have taking any bag, he didnt care. I thought ok I can finally relax, maybe Ill go relax on the beach, not a good experience either, the beach was full of seaweed, and this 4 star hotel was doing nothing to even clear the small section that the hotel sat on. SMH.... The pools were nice, but full of kids jumping, and playing, and it was almost impossible to get a lounge chair apparently if you put a towel on a chair then its yours all day. My room was often so full of cigarette smoke in this none smoking facility that I couldnt stand it..... I could go on, and on but lets just say it simply wasnt a pleasant experience, but I continued to try to make the best of it, after all I was paying $1000 for 3 nights. The best service at this hotel was provided by the night valet guys, they gladly answered any questions, and always had a smile. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone every, I would have preferred to have stayed at one of the motels on the boardwalk, and yes I said Motel...

Not sure where to start ...Hotel overall is nice..beautiful views from balcony at ocean..but service and people are terrible..They dont clean rooms but charge for resort fees...we had to call them to ask to clean our bathtub and bring clean towels..i think their job is to keep eye on that...another thing pissed me of..when we were sitting on pool area with our chairs and my son didnt feel well ..(medical condition) so i moved the chair into the shade and one of the girls who work there ..came to him and kick him out because he was sitting next to the reserved chairs(empty no was was there) seriously???? Being kicked by sitting in shade..and doing nothing...i asked for pool manager and he did let my son stay.... Later on i went to speak with general manager her name is Amanda...she was very helpful and apologize for that...and as a apology we got full day of beach bed..which was nice at least my kids enjoy their time and they knew nobody will treat them bad like the girl on pool....another thing pissed us of ...they where closing pools every other day for some banquets...so we were just had to move somewhere else....that wasnt nice of them !!!Amanda gave us a resort fees back for one day ...but so what if we couldnt enjoy our vacation..they should tell us about those events before we check in.!!!!!! The worst thing is we left our Mercedes S550 in valet parking and guess what...car came out scratched...Alex parking manager is a big...As..ole. Didnt do anything..we put claim on it but their insurance reject us.....so mad and how stupid it was that we trust them..please do NOT USE VALET PARKING....THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF CARS . The best people i met there was JOSEPH AND PEDRO..SO HELPFUL AND AMAZING PEOPLE...WISH THAT HOTEL HAVE MORE PEOPLE LIKE THEM !!!!!!!! OVERLL I DONT THINK WE WILL GO THERE AGAIN... IF YOU WANT TO BE TREAT GOOD GO TO SURFSIDE GRAND BEACH HOTEL SMALLER BUT SERVICE IS AMAZING THERE After all manager Amanda, wasnt that helpfull..when we check out didnt care at all..promised us and didnt keep that promise ..we were charged for something shouldnt be ..and she didnt even bother to call .... She avoided us!!!!!some other guy calld us and help......

This hotel was a big letdown. We wanted to get away and stay at a hotel on the beach. The type of deal that we booked allowed for a free upgrade if available. When we got to the hotel we asked if an oceanfront was available. The front desk girl said there was one room left. We thought we got lucky. She did say that the room does not have a balcony. The only room with a balcony was the city view. We took the ocean view anyway, thinking that there would at least be a large window view of the ocean. When we got to the room, we were disappointed to see that there was a closed off balcony barred in by a wooden post. Having a balcony that you cant use only obstructed the view as what were really seeing is this closed off balcony. It felt like we were in a kidnapping horror movie. The room itself was already tiny, but having access to outside barred off made it feel that much more claustrophobic. We went downstairs and asked another front desk person if all the ocean view room balconies were sealed off and she assured us 100% that they all were and that only the city view has balcony access. We had wished that it was posted on their website or mentioned before we had booked at the hotel. One of our main reason for going there was to be ocean front on our balcony. To make matters worse, we caught sight of the room next door and saw that their balcony was not blocked off. We called front desk to ask if they will move us to that room but they said they reserved it for someone else. They had lied about all the rooms being closed off. I guess this is their "free" upgrade package. We also had toilet issues in our room and called the front desk about 4 times to make sure a repair guy was coming. They kept telling us 10 mins every time we called. It took about 2 hours until someone finally showed up. There were other times when we got inconsistent stories about different things depending on who you talk to. Overall, their policy is to give you the run around. Weve been here once before and thought it was nice, but the way we were treated this trip has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. This hotel had ruined the whole point of our trip. Glad to say we wont ever be back.
