I walked into this barber shop after reading numerous reviews. It seems that Steve, indeed, is the guy to go for because the guy who cut my hair was terrible. When I walked in, I asked to wash and shampoo my hair since I was wearing gel on it. The lady who washed it was very nice and that part of the experience was very good. When I started the haircut, however, the guy cutting my hair felt inexperienced. Its difficult to take a man seriously if it feels like hes insecure at his job, especially when their job is to style men. We are trusting you with our appearance. After he felt he was done cutting my hair, he simply left it cut without style, and began to remove my styling cape. I had to ask him to style it! He put the cape back on and started adding gel to it, then he hands me the comb to style it myself! Needless to say, I felt like he gave me no choice and I ended up combing my own hair, even thought I paid for him to cut and style it like any other place. My haircut wasnt complicated, it was just a very unusual and disappointing experience.

I am new in New York (moved recently from New Jersey) and finding a hair dresser was hard!!! I have been to three barber shops so far and they have ruined my hair really bad and the service was also really bad!! I walk past Reamir Barber Shop in Midtown Manhattan everyday on my way to work and this Barber shop looks really professional so thought Id give them a try. I can say I have never had such a nice haircut + mustache trim. The staff provided great service and hospitality that you don’t expect to get at barbers. So I will never go anywhere else. I get comments regarding how I look now regularly and always promote you guys to my friends!! Although prices are very reasonable for your services as I believe its world class!! Keep up the good work, guys.

After going to the Reamir 44st i was left in disbelieve. The service was emaculate and the barbers were uber professional. I went there to get a shave and a haircut, both of which turned out perfect. I wanted a European style haircut which very few barbers can get to perfection. Franko at Reamir 44st is one of those barbers that hit the nail on the head. He was fun and easy to talk to along with being a true professional european barbar... I highly recomend the haircut at that salon. It looks like this is a chain all over the city.

So based on the reviews I saw I decided to try this place out since it is only 2 blocks from where I work. The place is tiny, it only has 3 barber chairs and can really only hold 12 people max in this room. I got a wash and cut and it was great. Everything they do here is thoughtful and they truely do care about what you the customer wants. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a traditional barber who takes their time and give you a good haircut.

Pros: Very affordable. Convenient to offices. You can make good conversation with the barbers and people, but there is no pressure to say anything at all (because small talk is the worst). Cons: Ive been here three times and each time they did a mediocre job at best. Worse, the barbers always get combative when you ask them to cut your hair shorter than they want to. Hey guy, I gotta live with my haircut, not you. Really would not recommend except for the price.

When my wife told me it was time to clean up my act she meant it. I was still walking around like it was the 1980s. I decided to go all out and went to Reamir Barber Shop East side. I just told the barber that cut my hair to have at it. She transformed me into a 21st century man. I could not believe it was me I saw in the mirror. My wife loved it. Now I need to get some new clothes.

I love Reamir Barber Shop. I look forward to going there because when I leave I feel so refreshed and uplifted. You just cant get that feeling from one of these clipper joints that does not even use skin care products. Reamir and Co has their own line that I can bring home to keep that new haircut feeling. I will never get my haircut anywhere else but this Midtown East NYC barber.

So I decided to check this place out after reading the reviews, and also the fact that it a few blocks from my work was a motivating factor. Place is small, but the staff were friendly. It’s an okay deal for the price. If I do go back I will wait for Steve, he seems to be the most talented of the three barbers’ working there when I was in, and I suggest you do the same.

My friend is a hairstylist, so I always ask him to do my hair. When he moved, however, I had to find a new place to get a haircut. I found Reamir Barber Shop on the internet and decided to try it out. I made the right decision for sure! Its a warm atmosphere there and excellent service! Even if my friend returns, I will no longer ask him for a haircut. Reamir only!

I like a men’s haircut from a barber, not a clipper cut from a hair salon. That is exactly what I get at Reamir Barbershop located at E 44th St in NYC. They are the real deal in that place. I can get a comb and scissor cut and a wet shave and feel like I went to a barber. They also sell their own line of hair and skin care products that are excellent.

Made an appointment for saturday at 2pm. Which he told me was $5 extra for an appointment. Just for note I made appointment in person that morning. When I walk in a different barber was sitting eating his lunch. All he told me is that other barber left for day and he couldnt honor my appointment. Even tho the shop was empty.... Worse service ever...

Tried to get a touch up on my undercut and they refused because I present/identify as a woman. Was told they do not do womens haircuts even though this is a shave that is typically done by a barber. Complete with a sarcastic "sorry sweetie" remark as I left. Completely sexist place. Do not support.

There is nothing else that can compare Reamir Barber. They use a hot treatment and shave you close with a razor. You get a complete shin treatment with hot oils. Every guy should get this at least once. They also give a real good haircut. I have a special scissor cut done and it looks great.

I was happy that I finally found a really good barber shop. There are millions of salons, but from my own experience I know than not all barbers had a license. Reamir Barbershop has qualified barbers. I feel like a VIP person when Im at Reamir Barbershop

I have a fade and no one can keep it looking as good as my barber at Reamir and Co. He knows exactly what I want and I never have to tell him. It comes out perfect every visit. I have told a few friends about the place and they are regulars also.

Decent cuts here but their best barber Steve left to open The Cut at 120 7th Street between 1st and Avenue A. Hes still doing amazing haircuts now for $16+ so its worth taking the trip down to the East Village to see him.
