I had no qualms with this place until the time came to pay my rent and discovered that my check bounced! I looked into why and discovered the person my wife spoke with here didnt input our cancellation request and kept our account open! We ensured we had all of our things out of their storage by 03/31/2017. Our banking records all of a sudden show a deduction for Aprils storage rent. We informed them that we cancelled and spoke to numerous representatives, only to be told, "Sorry. The person you spoke with didnt put it in your cancellation request and theres no way to prove that you were out by the end of March. You have to pay for April and theres nothing we can do" Are you kidding me?! Obviously, members of their staff are forgetful or neglectful of your requests, and it has now snowballed into an issue with paying rent for my new living situation. Gotta come up with a couple extra hundred dollars now in the next few days if I dont want to see a "Pay or Vacate" notice on my door, because this place decided to take a months worth of storage rent when we CLEARLY provided instructions we no longer needed their storage or services and my wife and I were CLEARLY set the expectation that our account would be cancelled at the end of March. GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED INSIGNIFICANTLY AND EXPERIENCE DEEP PANG OF STRESS! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THEM SAYING THEY FORGOT TO DO SOMETHING OR INPUT YOUR CANCELLATION REQUEST TO TAKE ANOTHER MONTH OF STORAGE RENT FROM YOU! Youve been warned reader.
I wouldnt even give this place a one star rating. They may be friendly but they are very incompetent. We had our storage unit broken into and basically emptied out. A 2+ bedroom apartment was in this storage unit. They either had several people with them or had a lot of time! They spent over 7 hours or more even several days to go through our unit. When we reported it to the owner she said "oh we have had a lot of break ins so it doesnt surprise me". To top it off they had cameras everywhere except in the aisle where my unit was. If youve had break ins why not have cameras everywhere?! Then we moved our stuff out and was supposed to get a prorated check for our monthly payment which never happened. Said it would be 7-10 weeks. We contacted corporate and they said it would get sent out and didnt. We went back to the original manager at the onsite unit and they told us it would be another 7-10 weeks. Still almost 7 months later havent gotten the money back. We lost thousands of dollars and their insurance through the storage unit didnt pay for like any of it. Maybe 20% of everything. I wouldnt recommend this unit to anybody!!
Had a really terrible experiance with christine I paid my rent and although I admit I was late a few times I always paid my rent and dealing with her has been a terrible experiance the last straw is when she decided to take off my lock which I had purchased from them as part of the rental agreement she cut it off and put two of there locks on it denying me access to my things and being able to move out before the next bill was due I was thankfully assisited by another on sight person named Connie who got ahold of the District Manager who has agreed to come and cut the extra lock off that was put on there for no reason but to be mean un professional . I thank god that there are other emplyees who work for the company who know how to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful way they need to re think there desicion on keeping Christine as there on sight manager she has gone to far and shouldnt be in her position if she thinks her actions are exceptable behavior !
this is the worst storage unit ive ever used. signed a contract for 26/month and now i am paying 46/month. the unit got broken into and stuff stolen and when i went to report it the only thing that the manager could say was do you have insurance?" i had over 500 rare cds that i had collected over the years plus presents from our wedding that we couldnt use because we had a smaller apartment plus my trade tools all gone and the best you could do is ask me if i have insurance? how was insurance going to fix stuff that you are emotionally attached to? they have the worst security ever. right now as i type if anybody is to visit the unit you will find that main gate to the unit have been broken for like the past 4 months and they havent done a thing about it so anybody just comes and goes worst yet i have actually witnessed people sleeping in their units. people pay the extra money for your peace of mind
I use to worry about my personal belongings here in storage but with Kendra minding the storage facility. Worrying became short lived very fast. She is very knowledgeable with here responsibilities either by phone or in person she is happy to help in a courteous, friendly way and makes sure you are satisfied with the result of the issue(s). I have never gone in to pay my bill without a smile and a "How Can I Help You!" Kendra at the Kearns Public Storage is one big reason why I rent there. I hope Kendra is there in Kearns for many years to come. I wont be but I will refer friends, family and people in general as long as I know Kendra is minding the ship at the Kearns PS. Btw, I could put my belonging in other PS around me but I drive a few extra miles to were I feel my stuff is safe and the lady that assures me that...
My wife and I have used this location many times in the last 11 years. We have never had any issues with break-ins or with management. Recently we needed them again while being between houses. Monica is a step above the managers over the last 11 years that we have dealt with. I would recommend this location and Monica to anyone reading this review. Tell Monica that Karl sent you! I know she will treat you well. Thank you Monica for taking care of us. You have been very helpful and friendly and we, the Taylors, appreciate it!!!
I have used this storage facility since June 2013. I was out of work until November and had a hard time making the payment; Dustin was always friendly and would call and give a friendly reminder that my payment was due. Once I was short by $.40 and he covered it and said not to worry about it. Dustin knows me by name, and he is always friendly whenever I go to my storage Dustin always says, "Hi Paula, how are you doing?" and we have a friendly conversation. Thanks Dustin =)
Me and my brother Amos Ames have had are storage there for almost 3years know for the last year there is a Lady named Lynda who works there she deserves a raise she takes my payment almost every month I love going in their she makes you feel good about having your stuff there and safe she is always cleaning or taking payments every time I go in there this young lady deserves a raise cuz she works very hard this is the public storage in kearns thank you andrea ames
