I typically treat dry cleaning services somewhat like a commodity. In other words, no establishment really offered me anything special (pricing aside). Then I moved to the area about a year and a half ago and started coming here based on proximity alone. I couldnt have been luckier to stumble upon Kona Cleaners! Everyone who works here is always tremendously nice and helpful! My orders are almost always completed sooner than quoted. If I need my order the same day, they can accommodate me as well. I really like that I get emailed as soon as my order is ready! I also frequently earn discounts and participate in promotions (through Facebook, etc.) that end up saving me some money. I wouldnt go anywhere else now!

THIS PLACE IS THE WORSE MOST UNETHICAL CLEANER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Ive used them couple of times for home pick up and delivery and had the worse experience ever. First the cleaning is terrible. Second you can guarantee they will mess up your billing, over charge you, late fees for no reason, promise they will re-do cleaning and charge you anyways. Its also a nightmare trying to remove those charges They love to add all sorts of charges on your bill so if you like that, this is the place. They even charged me extra for a regular off the rack suit just because of the brand. And they regularly loses your clothes. I routinely find other peoples clothes mixed in with mine.

Ive been coming to Kona on 17th St. for years now and have been very happy with the service Ive received. Upon entering the staff is always sure to greet the customers and do everything they can to minimize the wait. Thank You for having well trained and polite staff which makes for a pleasant & painless visit and for the ready made popcorn which my three year old son loves! Happy toddler = Happy Daddy when running errands! Oh, and the Holiday card personally signed by the staff was an unexpected but nice gesture. Keep up the good work and Thank You!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS CLEANER, or any Kona for that matter. I ask my employees never to write in all caps, some people take it as yelling. Well in this case I am. They are rude, they lie, they charge for things they should not and, and, and. The most important factor to consider is that they put bar codes on your items without your permission. The codes are directly on the fabric and do not come off. Glue and fabric do not mix, you pay $100 for a shirt and these folks thing they have a right to bar code it? Really? We are going to court.

Was in the area for business and my trip was extended. Needed four shirts dry cleaned and some laundry done. Went in on Saturday morning first thing and was assured everything would be ready by Sunday at 5 pm. Laundry was on time but missing a pair of socks. I gave them up for lost. No biggie. Shirts not ready until Monday at 5 pm. Too late for my Monday meetings so I had to purchase a dress shirt. Staff is friendly but if you cant get your clothes in time, why go there?

I have taken items to two different cleaners, one by my work and the other by my boyfriends and have been impressed by both. They are not cheap -- but more driven to quality, but they are gentle with the items and do a thorough job. I have items altered there as well and they have been returned exactly the way I had requested with solid workmanship. I will continue to go to them for all my dry cleaning needs. Plus they send me coupons that really does bring the price down!

I HAVE A SPECIAL WHITE SHIRT THAT GOT SEVERAL STAINS ON IT. I TOOK IT TO SEVERAL DIFFERANT CLEANERS ,BUT NO ONE COULD GET THE STAINS OUT, I WAS DRIVING BY YOUR STORE ON TAFT AND THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE YOU A TRY NOT ONLY DID YOU GET THE STAINS OUT, BUT NEXT TIME I WORE IT I GOT SOME SMALL WINE STAINS AND YOU GOT THEM OUT TOO! I always get excellent customer service from Vivian, Oscar, Sandie and the entire Costa Mesa Kona Cleaners staff. Most recently, I received a call from Oscar about an item that I had dropped off earlier in the day. He wanted to let me know that they needed to send it out for special cleaning and that it would be an extra charge. I very much appreciated him taking the time to call me and let me know. The great thing about your cleaning service is the friendly and knowledgeable personnel that you have working there. Every time I use your service I am greeted like family. Yes, I have been coming there for over 10 years but even when I am greeted by a new employee the feeling is always the same. The great cleaning also helps. They have done a great job on just my normal cleaning needs but have done some fantastic jobs at getting out stains and marks that I thought would not come out. Usually my clothes are done a day before even promised. I would recommend Kona to anyone with normal and especially a difficult cleaning need.

Poor quality customer service and rudeness seems to be a common theme in reviews for this cleaners so Im not surprised that they treated me with a little kindness when they had to tell me. Fast and expensive. They provide same day service if you drop off your clothes before 10am otherwise its next day services. Additionally, you can opt to receive text/email alerts. Check website for coupons if you are dropping off more then 5 items.

Come into your store on the afternoon of the 04/03/15. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great service in that you receive a text message when the items are ready to pick up. Great prices! Will definitely be coming back!
