One of the few eateries that does entice your inner foodie demon with a perfect ambience, food selection and great customer service. I literally held on to my reviewers personality till as per my ethics a minimum three visits are necessary for an optimum judgement. A few points before we proceed 1: Its a family run business. 2: Chef Arfa does most of the preparation from scratch everyday. 3: The kitchen is absolutely clean and visible. 4: Food is pretty close to Home style. During our first visit around March we had the pleasure of meeting the owner Tariq himself and believe me he absolutely made sure that our experience was awesome. He very patiently explained on the ingredients that goes into making each and every item on menu along with its sourcing etc. We had salad, Falafel, Ful (on the house), petra shish combo and shish chicken combo. God was not just awesome in taste, but we can feel the freshness going into our mouth. Definitely a 5 star experience. Then we had a take-out the second time around July and got same combos along-with shwarma combos, there was a slight variation in taste as well as the spiciness of the food. More of a 4 star experience. Today for some reason I was craving petra and went straight up to grab some kababs, chef Arfa in her usual pleasant self welcomed me, I ordered falafal and shish combo. She offered me tea on the house and in next 20 min my order was ready, as i already stated their customer service is awesome she didnt forget to give a serving of Ful on the house. But for some reason the food was completely off today, the kababs were completely dry and cant figure out why there were flavorless too. Even they lacked salt in the marination, tasted completely bland and a bit chewy more like a boiled meat. Again, things do happen once in a while and everyone has an off day and since this business is a family run, would definitely give them couple more tries before settling on a final verdict. Menu Selection : 5 Customer Service : 5 Management: 5 Food : Hovering around 2 Update:After trying to digest the food for 8 hrs my stomach has given up, constant burps, gas formation & now am taking antacid. So, the food quality has definitely gone down greatly bringing down to 2 stars. Petra : You guys need to seriously pull yourself up if you wish to maintain your past glory.

Duuuuuuude *burp*, THAT, was awesome. I spent the better part of two years in the middle east and fell in love with the spices and flavors. So when I find a good place around here, I have to tell folks. So I walked in late, to find the husband and wife team that own the joint, warm and welcoming. They were all fired up that I came in for my first time, so they offered a lentil soup on the house, delicious, and talked me through the menu. So I tells the guy that Im very familiar with the food, and asked what he and his wife would recommend as their best show. Combo shwarma it was, and boy did they do it right. Beef and chicken, both cooked perfectly, moist, super flavorful, and they did the one thing nobody else around here does... When I was over working in Iraq, locals would always put a layer of bread down on the platter before they out the main course on it. That means that sucker absorbs all the juices and aaaauuuggghh... Thats the best piece of anything youll ever out in your mouth. Do yourself a favor, do your friends a favor, and go support this little mom and pop shop. You wont be disappointed, the Mens Warehouse guy guarantees it. Did I mention pita, pickled veg, and herb infused olive oil appetizer free with your meal? Delicious. Get off the interwebs and go have some. Im going back and Ill take more pictures.

Great place, food and appetizers were very tasty. We had complimentary lentil soup that tasted the same as the one I had in the middle east, a sign of authenticity. The owner took the time to explain that they opened 6 months ago, everything is cooked like at home, with family recipes. Its great until you notice that they are a bit overwhelmed by the weekend crowd. It took us maybe 45 minutes to get our main dishes (appetizers trickled in, but some meat pies and coffee that we ordered plainly never came, nor was it charged to us). On the upside, the falafel were great, the pita and zaatar were a great free appetizer as well. We are not in the area often but might be back despite the organization issues.

A little "oasis of freshness" in the endless desert of fast food restaurant options! Super welcoming owners. Great pitas, hummus, falafel, baba ganouj and more. Everything looks and tastes fresh and healthy. All the meat was moist and not overly spiced. In fact, nothing was overdone or greasy. And the basmati rice was actually fluffy and tasty! Very clean facilities and educational too......on the way to the restrooms you get to see awesome pictures and explanations of the great archeological wonder that is Petra! My first review of a restaurant on the road!

I was shocked to find distinctive, quality Middle Eastern food in a strip mall, but this is the real deal. It was also the first time in a while that I felt genuinely welcomed to a restaurant. Even from takeout the hummus and falafel were superb. There are many different pastries and breads, more than I could try in a visit. The lighting and decor are very basic for the price, with a bit too much of the previous Arbys location poking through. Cute pictures and captions about the real city of Petra, Jordan are a plus, though. Genuine and family-run.

This is a wonderful gem of a local restaurant featuring foods from the Middle East and Mediterranean. Every dine-in meal comes with olives and pickled vegetables as well as pita bread and dip as appetizers plus soup. The kebabs were fantastic and the rice was perfect. Tea is included with the meal. The service is great, the owners take personal interest in every diner in this small restaurant, but can occasionally be a little slow. They are closed on Mondays but youll never leave hungry.

Absolutely best customer service I have experienced at any restaurant. The lady that welcomed we was so enthusiastic and kind and kept saying it was an honor and a pleasure to have me in the restaurant. On top of the stellar service, the food was excellent. Got the mixed platter and hummus, very delicious meal. They gave me a complimentary lentil soup when I came in and that was very good. Going to come back soon. Great job Petra!

From the moment we arrived till the moment w left, we felt like we were the only guests ... extremely welcomed, food came fast and we didnt have to beg for service in fact we never asked for service as it was always there at the exact moment we needed it ... The food was excellent, maybe not the tabouleh though ... Food portions are larger than typucal middle eastern restaurants .. overall 5 stars

The customer service is excellent. I came here with family and we started with an appetizer sampler. The hummus is really good and not oily at all. I had the beef kabob and I was juicy and fresh. The rice and salad were really good too. Their garlic sauce was a good combination with beef and rice. Also the house soup was really delicious. I highly recommend this place.
