RED FLAG!! AMATEURS! AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COST!! Two years ago we replaced our heat & a/c units and did some duct work with General. After several bids we decided to go with them since Phillip (owners son) came out twice to the house and seemed knowledgeable and trust worthy. We were so mistaken!! It was a nightmare since day 1. I wanted to write this review when they initially did the work but didnt get around to it. During install they had left the gas lines open and left the house. We got home from work to fumes! after spending 15K for the work. The unit never worked correctly from the get go. Several attempts were made by their workers to fix the issue. They either couldnt figure it out or didnt want to do the work. After about 5 or 6 tries of back and forth and hours spent baby sitting their techs we had to threaten to sue the company for them to finally change the faulty part. It gets better! Last year the coldest week of winter the heat stopped working. They came and had to order a part which took days so we were without heat when we needed it the most. This year AGAIN! the coldest week of the year the heat stops working. Same part broke! Over a week of no working heat. WE called another company out to diagnose it and they said to ask general to do the repairs since they were responsible for it. After several techs out we still have no working heat! this is a brand new unit and weve had their techs over to repair it about a dozen or so times. Todays tech says that the pressure has been off from the beginning causing the other part to keep breaking. NIGHTMARE!! Either we got a faulty unit or these guys have no idea what they are doing. In both cases they need to make this right! So far.. they have not. TAKE YOUR CHANCES WITH SOMEONE ELSE!

BEWARE!!! My furnace stopped working during the first rainy & cold day this winter. I called General heating & Air conditioning. The technician said I needed two parts, One would cost $315 and the second part would cost over $900. I immediately checked the part prices online, The first part was $40.00 and the second part was $149.00 (full retail price). I paid him a diagnostic fee of $95.00 and asked him to leave. Labor per hour would have been $130.00. Although the diagnosis was correct, the charges were outrageous. I called a factory authorized service place, their parts were within 20% of the online part price and they charged $65.00 per hour, charging two hours labor to install the parts.

When we were ready to replace our old HVAC system we got 3 estimates. General Heating and Airs estimate was the most thorough and professionally presented. The installers were very courteous and were patient answering my many questions as the project went along. We are very pleased with our new system!

We received 3 estimates before replacing our existing heat & air system. General Heat & Air was by far the most knowledgable and professional. Installation was on time & efficient. We have been very pleased with the performance of the unit so far. We would recommend this company to others.

When it came to replace our existing system we called for an estimate and were pleased with the knowledge and expertise regarding a new system provided by Phillip. The crew was polite, clean and hardworking. We are VERY happy with our new system and our choice of company.

General Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. were awesome! It took them a week or so to come out and replace our AC but they did a fabulous job! Very thorough, within budget and professional employees.Thanks a bunch.
