Ive been to Supercuts in other cities before so I decided to give the one here in Point Loma a try since I just moved here. My hair is very long and simple and I only get a couple of haircuts a year. Going here was a HUGE mistake. I cannot speak for the other hairstylists that work there, but my experience with Alisha was, well, terrible. She didnt listen to what I wanted. She took the time out to ask me what I wanted, appeared to listen, and proceeded to give me a very poor, basic trim. I have had the same haircut for many years and wanted to change things up and cut bangs. All she did the entire time was talk about herself, how she was in a car wreck, asked all the other employees for Vicoden and Percocet. That, in my opinion, is NOT professional behavior. I felt like I was a plant being trimmed by a gardener who was talking to the gardener next to her. (Hacked at is more like it.) She didnt make a single move to cut bangs for me, thank god! I didnt say anything about it and got out of there! Why is it so hard to find a good hairstylist who will listen to you?!?!?

Stylists were polite and friendly, but I wish I had read a few of these other reviews before coming here. I relied on the Supercuts brand to find a good cut, but the workers here couldnt deliver. I asked to take 2 inches off all around as I dont get my hair cut very often. The person cutting my hair acknowledged and asked, "so like up over your ear?" After responding affirmatively and having them cut my hair for the next half hour, I had to re-ask them to cut it since I could still clearly see hair falling halfway over my ears. After trying for another 15 minutes to fix it, I assured them that they were done but my hair looks terrible. I ended up with about 2 inches off the top and a half inch off on the sides. Im going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed later this week. My brother happened to be with me and also needed a much simpler buzz cut. He swears no part of it is even and is also extremely dissatisfied. The people are nice, but they cant get the job done right. We wont be back.

There was a stylist there... a larger-framed African-American woman... who could not even trim a beard. $6 to run a trimmer over my face, and still managed to make it uneven. As well, no edging or shaping and pulled more hairs than cut. After voicing my dissatisfaction, she offered to put me back in the chair. Ha. No thanks. Thats like asking an animal that just ate off half your face to try and even out the look by eating the other side of your face. Ugh... finding a decent stylist in this chain is like finding a diamond in the rough. Lets just say that no hairstylist aspires to work at SuperCuts. They are bad because no one else will hire them.

At this location, they are constantly training new people who do not know how to cut hair. This girl, Lani, turns me into the wall, in a way that I cannot see her cutting my hair in either mirror, and proceeds to buzz off all of my hair. She doesnt think its a good idea to ask me beforehand and let me me know that I will be shaving off all of my hair with the instructions that I have told to her. Even though I have given the exact instructions to many stylists and they have cut my hair without taking it all off. She turns me back to my shock and then shuffles me out the door. I guess that is one way of making quick money...

Its been many years since I stepped into a Supercuts. I needed a fast cut, close to where I reside. Although like things do when time passes, the price was much higher however they were conviently located, friendly staff, clean, and I received a quality haircut for less than other places.

Let me just say i never get my hair cut at these places and now I know why. Was in a hurry one day and just did it because I had to try a case in court. Should have kept my hair long. Ended up shaving the whole thing off after my trial. Will never go back.

I called 10 minutes ahead and waited about 10 minutes to get into a chair. The hair stylist was so nice. She stuck up a genuine conversation with me. I showed her what I wanted and she gave me just that! I love mt hair. I will definitely be going back!

this places is terrible, they cant even get a simple fade down. both sides of my head were uneven by the time i left. the women working there were more concerned with how many cookies were left in the break room, then costumers hair. never again.

Its an average supercuts. Their isnt usually much of a wait, but I recommend calling ahead because that can change quickly.
