This is a review of Salsa Rueda @ ODC. I rarely write negative reviews because obviously my experience is subjective but teaching is a huge responsibility. Majority of us (if not all of us) learn salsa rueda @ ODC not to become professional dancers but to have fun, to meet people, to learn new skills, and to be part of the community and because of that I give this place one star. Many of the instructors here are very good, professional, and encouraging. Unfortunately a few bad apples is enough to ruin someones confidence. And thats what a co-organizer of this group does. I really appreciate when people care about what they do but its really evil when caring becomes bullying. The whole point of teaching is to encourage students to do more to take risks to succeed. Unfortunately here @ ODC the approach is different they encourage you take classes you do not need just tp make more money and they discourage you from advancing and learning new things.

I love Rhythm & Motion so much that I have taken a class a day there every for the last eight years. Each class has been a joyous experience that is so much fun I dont even realize Im exercising. The dance workout classes (Fusion Rhythms and Modern Rhythms) are lead by instructors who are great dancers and also terrific teachers, who know how to make class accessible to everyone. The spirit and sweat that fills every studio is just unbelievable. If you like to dance but have never taken a class at R&M, you should most definitely take one. The first is all it takes to be hooked.

Ive visited here only for Saturday night swing dancing ("The Rent Party"), so do understand that I havent taken the "regular" classes. With that said, heres what I like and dont like: LIKES: - Couches are cozy. - Dance floors are spacious. - Whole place feels clean and safe inside. - Theres $2 parking nearby (at least on Sat nights) - Good sound system. DISLIKES: - Check-in is often slow; last night, it took me more than 10 minutes and I was late for my class. - Feels a little bit sterile.

I hate exercise and yet I am in fantastic shape due to the absolute joy of classes at ODC. I take the Fusion Rhythms classes -- the music is awesome and you feel like a real dancer in no time. Not to mention how great it is to watch the teachers who are all gorgeous dancers -- each class is like a great show as well! This is a wonderful community of people who love music and dance and welcome newcomers -- come try it!

I love ODC dance and especially Micayas hip hop class on Saturdays at 12noon. Shes so dedicated, and the class, moves, and structure are consistent. You learn a short dance, and really get some hip hop dance experience. Shes also a really good teacher. I highly recommend it for beginners to intermediate. Its fun and a good work out. You can go anytime, and its kind of always there and always the same experience.

The class pass here got me back into dance. The front desk people were very accommodating when I got sick and allowed me to extend the pass so I wasnt wasting money. This place has a wonderful variety of classes and allowed me to try all different styles.

I saw a dance show here and it was a perfect venue. Its small and intimate so there are no bad seats. The space lends itself to making the audience become part of the performance. I cant wait to come back to see another show.

I dont dance, but my group rents rooms for weekly rehearsals. ODC is very helpful, reliable and easy to communicate with. Emails are responded to quickly and we are grateful for the clean, orderly and friendly environment!

Really wonderful way to take class (especially if you are not from the area), meet new dancers, teachers and choreographers, and a great way to get a feel for the pocket of dance happening in the area!

Wonderful teachers, just wish they had more variety when it comes to modern classes. Clean studios though and good prices if you buy a class card. (Just watch out for the expiration dates!)

The dance classes here are phenomenal. take a class with Tika Morgan - she is a tough teacher but you will learn so much about dance, culture roots and life wisdom.
