If you love dancing and really want to improve your social dancing confidence, your personal dancing confidence, or get some excellent exercise, Arthur Murray Ventura is a great way to go - The new owners, Ingvar and Sara, have infectious positive attitudes with superior teaching and performance credentials. Ingvar is a proven champion in the dance world and changed my rumba! They coach their instructors to carefully attend to each students detailed dance needs. Arthur Murray provides a solid technical background in ballroom and rhythm dancing that can help you branch into other areas of the dance world - their foundation is where all of the pros come from. The clientel are also very interesting and fun to practice with and learn from - everyone has something to share in their dance practice. Training and lessons in dance are expensive - no matter where you choose to go. Arthur Murray is the best value I have found to provide the foundation for you for the $$$. There are many financial programs tailored towards the type of goals you would have (wedding packages, competitor packages). As with any hobby or interest, be reasonable with yourself when budgeting for dance - include cost of shoes, any apparel you might need, and any extras you may want to consider (competition tickets, special dance clubs, etc within the Arthur Murray circuit, for example). However, with this crowd at Ventura, you are guaranteed to meet your dance goals. Be aware that I write this from the competitor perspective, but I LOVE social dancing.
