Review from my visit in 2011 not sure how it is now. My first time here! Ive got to say Ive heard about Andy awhile back when I was in High School when he used to work at Pose. My friend recommended me to go to him, but I never got the chance too. Now several years later, I read the reviews and noticed that one of the Yelpers mentions his name. I get all excited and nervous at the same time. I finally made my appointment for today and came right in. Everyone there was so friendly and nice. I couldnt wait to get my cut and wash. He first greeted me and was definitely personable and friendly! We totally hit it off. He also gave great advice on what I should do with my hair before my big wedding day. Hes definitely not the greedy type of person. I was wondering whether I should highlight my hair and he gave me good tips on that. He also mentioned if I wanted to do it, I should do it more closer to the date so that I dont have to waste money to retouch it. He pretty much just trimmed, layered, and got rid of all the damaged part of my hair and he said my hair looks good right now and doesnt need any dying. What was also great about him is that he definitely knows how to style hair. I always get nervous about that. I hate coming out of those salons where I come out with my hair styled looking like my MOM!! Cmon now!! Price is definitely inexpensive. So I tipped him big! He deserves it for making me look so good! ;) Watch out ladies and men! lol I will be back! Woot!

I came here because of the positive reviews I saw for it. I should have walked right out the door when I walked in and saw the "cash only" sign, and instead of letting me go get cash, they pulled me to the chair and told me to worry about paying after. Then, the stylist, with regards to the washing of my hair, was so forceful and rushed. I saw later that she didnt even rinse all the conditioner out. She was blow-drying my hair erratically with two blow-dryers, then, when she went to brush it, she yanked at all the knots while I visibly winced. I asked for a trim to clean the ends up, and Id say a good three to four inches were taken off. All I asked for was a straight cut without layers, and what I got was uneven hair. Its cut at an angle where the left side is shorter than the right. She had me washed, cut, styled, and gone in 20 minutes. They wanted me in and gone as fast as possible. I will NEVER be coming here again. Dont know if it was the girl I got or what, but I should have just spent the extra money to go somewhere where they actually take pride in the quality of their work instead of how fast they can get the client out.

Absolutely horrific and life-scaring experience. I had a Japanese straightening perm done on my hair by Kim. The day after, I could feel a section of hair breaking. A small handful of hair started snapping off near the roots. I kindly reached out to Kim to let her know what had happened in lieu of writing a bad review. Immediately she was uncooperative and defensive; refusing to take any responsibility. Kim even had the audacity to blame it on a runaway barber who had cut my hair without my knowledge. I told her that no one sneakily trimmed my hair, and that without a doubt the breakage was caused by her. But what more can one expect from a dingy salon that makes customers blow dry their own hair?

There are only 2 people who I allow to cut & style my hair; one of them is the owner of this salon, Andy. Hes been styling my hair since 1997! Im ALWAYS happy with how my hair turns out. He actually picks a style that goes well with your face shape & is honest if youve picked a style that doesnt make you look good/better. I cant wait to get my next cut! :-)

Andy is always friendly on the phone every time I call for an appointment. And Thoa provided an amazing service. I liked the way she cut my hair. I asked her for a V-Shape haircut (thinning out my thick hair) and she executed it well. $20 for wash, cut and style. Highly recommend this place and definitely ask for Thao. Thanks again Thoa!

I recently got my ombré hair done here. The price was very decent $120 compared elsewhere where it couldve cost $200-300. Be prepared to stay there for at least 3 hours. Co Thoa was very funny and made great suggestions to help with the process.

I always go to Kim whenever I want to try something new. All she needs is a picture, and she will make it happen. Pricing is also much more affordable than other salons.
