All you have to do is look at the recent ratings to see how badly managed this establishment is. Our child has attended this studio for years but in the last couple of years the management has gotten out of control. Ridiculous fees, hidden charges an atmosphere of preferential treatment that has led to physical conflicts between students. Management does nothing to correct the problems in fact the only actions taken have further impacted the children negatively. The latest sign that the owner is the narcissist you see depicted here was the firing of three teachers during competition season. This left parents, who invested hundreds of dollars, without experienced and knowledgeable instructors... choreography fees, costumes bought, hours of paid rehearsals all wasted. You may think this an isolated incident, but not so, this the second year in a row that this type of folly has occurred. Sure a lot of money has been wasted but the point for you to consider is that management gave little or no thought to the impact on the children. Imagine your child, who built trust and attachment to a qualified instructor, and how they would feel. Yes many tears were shed and numerous parents withdrew their children. Now company routines need to be redone and we have two weeks until the next event. Imagine the stress this children feel. Furthermore ask where the older children are. This year we have lost every experienced dancer because of the abuse they have suffered at the hands of the studio management. Is this the atmosphere you want your child in? Run do not walk away from this hole. I promise you this is only the tip of the iceberg. The ownership has no business associating with children.

I registered my daughter late for the program and was blind sided by fee after fee!! You have to have two sets of SPECIAL tights for the recital, the costume for the recital is crazy expensive (but not even complete, so you have to pay out of pocket for additional items to sew on to the costume), additional headpieces for combo classes, and special earrings (which were even too big for me, let alone my 5 year old daughter!!) We were informed 2 months after we started dance that there had been a newsletter explaining all the fees associated with the class that everyone who registered when the class started had received, but we never were provided with it. Every time there were more fees, it was never explained to us that it was OPTIONAL, it was always made out to be mandatory. And it adds up quickly!! Not only that but the studio is closed for a month, and you STILL have to pay for that months monthly fee in order for your child to be in the recital. And you are not allowed to video tape the recital!! But of course they are SELLING copies of the recital. They just seemed to find everyway to add on costs, and not notify you prior to!! Not to mention there was a very disruptive child who showed up week after week in class, taking away time from class each week when the teacher had to stop everything to get her to behave, and she was allowed to come back every time. Of course, because all they want is money!! NEVER EVER going back to this place!!

Encore is not what it used to be. Unfortunately the owner fired her best teachers on March 1, 2011 and lied about it in a public letter, saying they were pursuing other opportunities. All the children enrolled are effected as almost all of the best dancers have left throughout the year due to physical and verbal abuse, threatening students, allowing the studio to become rancid with negativity. Also, the owner deliberately collected money for an upcoming competition on Friday Feb 25, or pay a $20 late fee. Then she cashed everyones checks on Monday morning March 1, before we could stop payments on them. Then she fired all the teachers in the afternoon, and we are trapped into staying at the studio to save our competition fees, or leaving and losing all our money. The owner has been manipulative, cruel and lying to everyone. Do not go to Encore or you will lose more than your money, you will lose your kids dreams and their teachers.

I went into Encore Dance to "tryout" a class for my daughter. I was told to just come in before the class time and let them know you wanted to try a class out. I did just that. I let the woman at the front desk know that I was there to try a class out. She told me that she would come get me in 15 min and introduce me to the instructor. Apparently she was too busy surfing the Internet because I sat there and waited for 1/2 an hour. Mind you, my daughter and myself along with the woman at the front desk were the only ones there. She flat out ignored me for the entire time I was sitting there. I couldnt believe it. I have never received such horrible service. I ended up walking out and when I was leaving she had the nerve to say, "thanks for stopping by". Are you kidding me? This was the biggest waste of time. Ill start looking for another studio right away.

I attended the recital on 6/13/2015 expecting to see my Granddaughters group of 7 year olds do a little dance . Instead they had a little walk on part of a production that featured students who were much older. To top it off at the end they of the production they brought the cast out to take a bow and had all the older people stand in front of the smaller ones. This was very disappointing due to all the money invested on rehearsals, costumes and tickets. The least the school could have done was allow this group of smaller children to have their time to shine. If they just needed window dressing to showcase their older talent they should have had them in two scenes. I think at a recital every class should have the opportunity to perform for their family and friends and not be used as props to showcase other talent.

Without a doubt the WORST studio in Aurora! It used to be great, only because of the wonderful teachers, but the owner/director fired them to hire cheaper, less experienced staff. Also, the place is filthy and unorganized. When the new teachers dont show up they use parents to sub. All the good dancers left to find a real studio so they can learn and grow. Just know you get what you pay for, but at Encore you will pay for a LOT more than you get! Whatever you do, DO NOT give these people your credit card info!

Our three daughters have been attending Encore for the last 3-4 years, and they all love it. Weve gotten to know most of the staff and teachers there, and theyre great people in and out of the studio. Our girls have grown so much there that its really become like a second home to them. Im sure there are better technical schools out there, but we find that the people at Encore make it a fun school, for the girls and us parents.

Weve been dancing here for many years and my daughter loves it. Her teacher is patient and fun. The recitals are very professional. We have told many friends about it and they agree that it is a great place. They just moved to a new location (address is 18757 E Hampden, #162, still in the 7 Hills Plaza)) and the new studio is beautiful.
