This Resort used to be magical for my family. Been coming here for many years. Brought my entire family and extended family here for my Mothers memorial weekend after she passed. Now the happy memory is ruined. I cant begin to explain how bad the customer service is, how the front desk can apologize but will not rectify one single issue. Will not find management to get answers. Coldest weekend this year and our room had no heat. They sent engineering to get it going about 10:30 pm as we lay in our beds in coats. The heat breaker blew again at 2am. Must of called front desk and operator 20 times no answer. Coats on again in bed and gave up. Morning front desk girl apologized and said I should of called and been moved. Called who no one answers. Literally she should call the manager and fix this problem financially or do something for basically camping at 250 a night. Freezing in room next day and when we left room thermostat still broke not working, no one ever came, front desk did nothing. They do not care Huge gap under door also, no weather stripping. Dont rent room 204 Carmel apples night before 8 dollars a piece, First the kid making them insults my kids by saying they can make them if they can afford a room here, kids say we are staying herea, then he asks if they can actually sign on room. Horrible degrading manner and rude even when I came up and said of course they can sign on room. Then the carmel is kept at such a high heat runs right off apple.and wont stick. Kid cuts up apple and throws carmel on top. crappy attitude. Mr know it all said he went to Culinary school so I ask did he not learn if he turns down temp for carmel to cool it will then adhear to apple. Says they dont make homeade carmel there anyways and it wont work no matter what ? At 8 dollars an apple ? 32 dollars for 4 plates of crap. Loved the Resort so much purchased 4 groupons. 2 used before they expired. The 2 left I paid 99 dollars for a bed and breakfast. A 250 value. But I paid 99 for them and Groupon paid the resort 99 for them used or not. Reservations says I can use only one towards room even though at this point Groupon says they are worth the cash value you paid. Claims they are already discounting room by letting me use voucher. No they are not they got paid 99 dollars a voucher. 99 a year ago or today is still 99. They are not out anything I am. Refuse to let me book a breakfast package with voucher which is same price I figure at least I am getting my 99 back towards room. Reservations asks me to turn in voucher at check out and they will take off 99. Same awful customer service girl front desk refuses to use voucher. Claims they already gave me 99 dollar credit. Says it over and over though we are looking at my bank statement on my phone. Tells me bank statement wrong, they gave me 99 dollars already. The bank is wrong ?? Bills my my credi card at resv on 16th...108 dollars Bills credit card 50 at check in on 17th Bills credit card another 159 at checkout. Show all these transactions on my bank phone app again . She wont refind the 159 she just charged. She still argues bank is wrong. Will not get manager, tells.me to call Monday. I have paid 300 for a 200 dollar room and they will still not credit Groupon. Im out 500 now from this resort. Call to get manager today, if it was a manger ?? No one can it figure out or tell me what to do Im calling Groupon, its impossible to use a voucher here. Im never going back Years of Santa brunch, Easter brunch, family memories ruined. This place needs new management its a fallen star

The hotel room was generally clean. The patio was neat and floor to ceiling windows were nice. We reserved a room that was "mountain view" but we had such a tiny view of the mountain because the angle of the building. It was actually the staircase that Actually got a mountain view. There are multiple (about 4) resort lodges your room could be placed in. You may want to request a certain lodge if you want a mountain view. In the king executive, there were two sinks, one in the toilet/shower room and one just outside which was convenient for two people. The downside was that the counters seemed like they had not been washed very well, the tub was clogged so that I was standing in water while I was showering, and there was a fair amount of dirt around the light switches. What used to be a can-light heat lamp in the ceiling just outside the shower still functions as a light, but they no longer use a heat bulb. A luxury item thats fantastic to have, but I can understand cutting an item like that from the budget. The problem is that you need the light to see in the shower and its on a timer so part way through your shower you lose all your light. There is also an old touch tone phone hanging on the wall by the toilet. It was fun to see, but dates the place. The bathroom floor and shower are tiled and it looks nice. Someone picked out nice patterns. Theres a pretty decent sized hole where the plumbing of both the sink and the shower head meet the wall. Thats fairly common in hotels for some reason, even though it looks so trashy, so I cant really rate against them too much for that. Someone had poured coffee into the reservoir of the machine where you would normally pour your fresh water, so I was unable to heat up water. Whats more is that the process of unplugging the machine from the wall requires you to get behind the TV console which makes me question how well these machines are ever washed. Clearly this one was missed. With all that said, the glass of the machine was clean, the ceramic coffee mugs appeared clean, and the pull out station in the TV console for the coffee and beverages was clean and useful. Dresser drawers and other furniture in the room was clean, but the couch was so worn out the cushions were completely flat. The bed seemed to have worn divots where you sleep, but sometimes thats difficult to judge. They did add some very nice down-type topper to this bed that was very comfortable. As for the down-type blanket on top of the bed that initially seemed nice, it did not actually have a cover, it was just sandwiched between two loose sheets on the bed. The comforter, and all three decorative pillows seemed clean and smelled good. Dishes from two different rooms sat in the hallway on the floor for over a day and a half. Housekeeping was there when we first saw the dishes and they should have been through again by the time saw the dishes still there. I had planned to spend more time in the resort but I had assumed all their services and food were probably the same quality as these rooms...which is less than satisfactory.

I went to Cheyenne Mountain Resort for our yearly tradition - Easter brunch. As usual, the food was fabulous. Our waiter is one weve had before - Darryl. I invited a friend with me who had never been to CMR before because she just moved here from Germany. When I asked the host if it might be possible if we were seated by the window, even during a busy day like Easter, he accommodated us and that only made my friends experience even better. Our drinks were never empty whole Darryl was waiting on us. Our table was continually bussed and the staff were friendly. The only complaint we had was that when our waiter went on break (he informed us he would be stepping out for a few minutes which was fine) the waitress that took over for him was terrible. Its like she did everything she could to ignore his tables. The family sitting behind us actually complained loudly. Our drinks were empty the entire time she was covering the area. We had to stop her and ask 3 times before we got assistance from her. In truth, Im not sure what she was doing because she wasnt available to us at all except for limited curt interactions. However, the quality of the food, and primarily our waiter are what earned the 5 star rating. Darryl was so good that we can honestly overlook the other complaint. Depending on what the military has in store for our family this time next year, we will be back. We are club members so we use the rest of the resort year round at current and have been very happy.
