Not what I was expecting at all. Im 33 years old and have had hundreds of haircuts like most men. When i walked in they all looked at me like I was an alien. The first barber finishes his customer and then just looks around as if Im not here. I ask if hes available and after hesitating he says "yes." I proceed to the chair and he tells me to wash my hair. Surprised, I asked "why? I dont put anything in my hair at all". He states that all the customers have to do it....."wooooord?" I oblige his request and he cuts my hair against the grain after I asked him to cut it with the grain. The overall haircut wasnt "bad". Not the best but it wasnt bad. Another customer walks in and asks for a cut but it was only then that I realized that this barber shop is appointment only. Really? Its 2013. Barber shops get business by two ways: 1. Having OUSTANDING barbers and 2. Word of mouth. Why would you turn a patron away because he didnt know that he needed an appointment. The ONLY reason Im giving the place 2 stars instead of 0 is because there are multiple barbers there and I dont want to say that the entire establishment is bad, In fact, Ive been referred to another barber there by a good friend so well see.

I have been in Colorado Springs for 18 years and Midtown barbershop have been here since it is now own by a good friend and Christian brother that has beautiful family. Every time I go there it reminds me of the Ice cube movie barbershop this place is definitely a pillar of our community. Thomas keep up the good work and we all love and respect you. Also, my sister met her husband there and she is now having a baby and I remember like it was yesterday when I was still a young 20 year old soldier walking through the doors and getting my first cut there. Btw Thomas thank you for you military service and your service now with Midtown Barbershop.

Worst barber shop Ive taken my kids to. The man was more interested in watching TV then cutting hair. There was one man in front of us who was already in the chair and it still took 2&12 hours for my son to get his. Then the man up charged the hair cut.
