I was assured that our uboxes could be delivered from Colorado Springs to Castle Rock with no problems. I started calling Uhaul 3 weeks before we needed our uboxes delivered. For three weeks, I called twice a week. Each time I was told someone would return my call. They never did. The third week, when they told me someone would call me back, I complained and told them how I had already called and called with no one getting back to me. They promised someone would call that day. Wow, what a miracle, someone actually did. THEN the fun began. Uhaul said they couldnt deliver to my new address and would have to ship the boxes, charging me an unexpected $1,500 and a two week delay - so here I am, in my house, without any of our stuff. After some arguing and back and forth, they finally agreed to rent a truck to me for $60. So I still had to find and pay last minute movers, give Uhaul another unexpected $60, AND spend many hours moving my stuff out of the Uboxes, into a Uhaul truck, and then drive my stuff up to our new address, to unload everything there. Total 100% waste of time and money. Will never ever use this company again. One of the employees even told me that the main Uhaul company does not train their local staff properly and their communication is extremely poor. The Uhaul employee also said that they will tell you anything over the phone in order to make the sale. Which is what happened to us.

I have a company that uses UHAUL every week two times a week some times. But I had a personal reason to use UHAUL and had my family with me a week ago, I took my time to give thought about what to do. I considered speaking with corporate but realized they may be just like this gm and this location since they are also based in Colorado. Worse place ever the GM was a horrible slob he told me that if I can be rude and do what he wants because he is in charge. I heard him yelling over the intercoms to his employees and speaking in racial terms about current news events. I asked him a question regarding hitch installment for my grandmother who is black and she was standing right there, he said Im sorry but she may not want to get her installation done here it may not be safe for her in this area? What kind of low life looser would ever say that to another person. He also was yelling at his employees to get him lunch and he needed to leave early because he had to take his dogs to there grooming appt. obviously I would only know this by standing in the store hearing this madness in a long line of angry people also being treated similar. I thought we where In a bad episode of PUNK d. ZERO stars is what I give the store! UHAUL you have lost our business for ever.

STAY AWAY...STAY FAR AWAY!!! I put it at one start because I couldnt do ZERO! I want to echo what other folks have said, absolutely horrible customer service. On Tuesday, 5/30, I scheduled a hitch install. The hitch install was supposed to be on Thursday, 6/1, at 3 p.m. On Wednesday, 5/31, I received a call saying that the parts for my hitch install were already reserved for another customer. They put in for express shipping of the parts or so they said. As of today (6/2 at 3:30 p.m.) I still have not gotten in to get my hitch installed. I actually spoke with a real person at their store at 2 p.m. today and they told me they were still waiting on a part and they could get it done on Monday or Tuesday of next week. The most frustrating part is that they are too busy to answer their phone. When I call their local number, it always directs me to their call center in Texas or Phoenix. This will be the last time I deal with Uhaul for any purposes. Absolutely unfathomable that I cannot talk with someone directly at the store when I call to find out the status of my hitch!

I went to Uhaul to get a hitch installed on my Jeep Compass. I did not realize until later taht they had gouged the paint on both sides of my car in the process of removing the bumped to install the hitch. They also threw away the tow hook that came with my car b/c they said it wouldnt fit anymore. Whether or not it fit anymore with the hitch, it was still mine and should have been returned to me to sell of use one day without the hitch. I have been fighting with Uhauls insurance company for months now trying to get them to pay to fix the damage they caused, and theyre saying they didnt do the damage. Well, my car was 5 days old when I took it to Uhaul (I bought it brand new, custom ordered from Jeep), so I have no doubt that they caused the damage. The entire experience has been really frustrating, and it took me over a week to even get in touch with anyone b/c no one would talk to me at the store, they didnt return my phone calls, and they didnt send me any of the emails they promised to send me.

This company is awful! Their customer service is the worst I have EVER EVER seen. I called roadside service 5 times, was placed on hold i dont even know how many times to never gotten answered and was disconnected all 5 times after waiting for 20 minutes. I asked to speak to a manager and got disconnected. I gave them my number never got a call back. I filled out finally a request online and they called back almost 4 hours later. We only got the truck partially filled because the tires were so bad it was continuously stuck in our driveway. My RV, Small Car and acura loaded up more stuff then this truck did because it was stuck for over 4 hours. It was a waste of our time and energy. It was an awful day and they are awful. I have literally never seen such awful customer service.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We scheduled a hitch install for 7:30 a.m. 2 days ago, and prepaid for it. Drove 30 minutes to get there, and were told after we arrived that they had overbooked and it would be at least 2 1/2 hours. No "Im sorry this happened", no attempt at any kind to take responsibility for their screw up. When I said I couldnt wait and needed a refund, I was told that I would also have to wait for that, too, because the owner was too busy putting on other hitches. Unbelievable. If the folks here would have made any effort at all to provide even the lowest level of customer service, they might have kept our family as a customer since weve been there 4 times now. Save yourself the time and negative experience and go somewhere else.

IMPORTANT READ--My experience was terrible. I arrived 30 minutes early to pick up my 24ft Uhaul rental only to stand in line for 30 minutes. By the time I sign the papers to get the Uhaul truck I was informed that I would have to wait another 30 minutes for it to be cleaned. After that half hour had finished I was approached by an employee who related to me that I was no longer able to rent that specific 24 ft. Uhaul for they had just realized there was a nail in the tire and unsuitable to drive. They shoved me out the door to the nearest Uhaul location without offering any sort of help or apology. To make a long story short I ended up paying more money for a smaller Uhaul at a much further discount. -From a very unhappy customer
