Uncomfortable and unsafe! My husband wanted to gift me a salon visit to Veda for Christmas and I had newly started getting my haircut by Tracy at the University location. She talked me into getting a color and had me wait about 5+ weeks. She told me she had one day (available in December). It was for the 23rd (the day before Christmas Eve). The front desk told her she needed to book 3 hours to fit in a proper full color and cut for my hair and she told them to schedule it anyway (with only 1-1.5 hours). I was looking forward to the appointment! I had arrived 5 minutes after the scheduled time (I had let Tracy know I would be running behind because of work) and she said "no problem, get here as soon as possible" when she had booked it. After arriving, I waited a minute before she came and grabbed me to walk back. As we were walking to her chair, she was acting flustered and was very rude. I sat in her chair and explained that I was looking forward to a full foil with cut with her like we discussed (when she scheduled the appointment time). However, she rudely laughed and told me it "wouldnt happen". When I asked why, she blamed the fact I was late. I tried to remind her that she scheduled me a shorter appointment time and that she had been okay that I would arrive a few minutes behind. She told me she would put all over color on the bottom of my hair and thats not what I wanted. When I politely explained that I still wanted to have the full foil done, she unprofessionally told me, "Im not going to work on your hair at all" and "you can leave". I was nice in explaining what I was hoping for (my hair is slightly less than shoulder length). I had calmly asked to speak with a manager at that point. The women working at the salon were alarmed that at that point, she was yelling at me. She had verbally snapped and at that point I was her target. I walked out with nothing that evening after speaking with the manager. The manager was talking with Tracy about her behavior to see if she could still perform my appointment, but at that point this woman had made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. The DM was there that night and claimed to be "mortified" by Tracys behavior. She offered some services free, but it wasnt about getting services free. I simply wanted the gift my husband wanted to give me for Christmas, to be in a calm and relaxing environment while getting my hair done by a professional, this didnt happen. The the front desk never quoted me a price when I had initially booked the appointment. They claimed they didnt have Tracys prices when I had booked and I learned they keep the pricing at the front desk. The entire appointment was a disaster. They need more experienced and more professional artists and management at this salon. NEVER AGAIN.

2 years ago I moved from L.A. - a place some would consider the mecca for premier salons. I desperately needed a new style and color to fit my new life in Colorado. After a few negative experiences throughout the area I landed at Veda. Instantly, I knew they had their "stuff" together. I was welcomed with professionalism and compassion. The first interaction was with the front desk girls- theyre not even stylists (although they were suuper knowledgeable) and they truly had an interest in my motives. I was presented with delicious Comforting Tea and tasty fruit water, for FREE. I would have paid for the cup it was so good (I now purchase my tea, through my salon -crazy!). It appears the vast majority of their stylists are very educated and experienced which is hard to come-by at the "rent-a-chair" salons thrown across the city. Ive had great experiences with a few of their stylists. I havent scheduled with a specific stylist since I started coming here. My schedule is random and it has been so comforting knowing I can take the earliest opening and be satisfied with the results. I felt the need to express my gratitude. Ive been coming here for 2 years but never left a review. Well, now I have. Thank you for always having an interest, in my interests - it truly is rare.

So very unhappy with Veda. I am actually unhappy with the stylist, Sierra. However, the general fact that the salon isnt interested, in the least, that my experience was not what I was hoping for, it sours me on the entire location. Sierra, did not listen at all to my concerns from a previous time and simply did the same thing again, despite the fact I began with very clear indications of what I needed done differently this time. (Her moving up a "level" in her training, and therefore her rates, didnt help with her talent or ability) Guess I was foolish to give her another chance. Then, salt into the wound, when I asked for some curl to my style, without telling me, it was an additional $10 charge. Very disappointing to say the least. No wonder she was easy to get in to. UPDATE -- UPDATE: Management did later call me, listened and re-booked me with Brooke at the Academy location and she did a great job giving me what I wanted. My review of Sierra remains, however props to the way management responded and to Brooke!!!

Do not come here! I was in a wedding in september (2013) and we had our hair and make up done here. A few days later I noticed that my left eye started hurting. It turns out that they gave me a stye because they did not keep their make-up products sanitized. Looking back, I remember noticing that the esthetician did not even spray or wipe the eyeliner before putting it on my eye. The pain and agony of an eye infection was horrible!! Ontop of that I had to spend time going to the doctor to get an erythromycin prescription. But the worst part....the reason I chose to write a review was their lack of empathy and acceptance of my complaint. When I called to explain to the manager, she blew me off because she did not want to hear a complaint. She said thanks for the heads up we will try to pull the makeup off the floor for future use. I WILL NEVER GO TO VEDA AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE AGAIN and will be sure to let anyone I know do the same.

Today was my first time at Veda, I had high hopes since a coworker had just been there a few days before. I called in days before and explain to the person on the phone what i wanted which was heavy blond over my dark hair, I also added that my hair was extremely think and long and would need longer time slot then the most she a surred me she would let the stylist know. I get at 11am meet the stylist Aliza started off great very nice well two hours go by I start felling very rush and notice her getting very in patient and frustred with how much hair I have she then began to be extremely rough and pulling on my hair then we go in to wash the water is cold after that 3 hours later she ask me if I would brush half of my hair I was speechless she did brush my hair pulling and touging the whole time. Four hours later we finish it did turn out great just not sure it worth the pain my head went through not sure if i will return
