Good: haircut was a decent scissor cut, the place has great atmosphere, and the hospitality was good at the start. Bad: my Barber was on the phone for part of my cut and did the same thing several times for the guy before me. A regular of his was up after me so he rushed my haircut and made a few mistakes. I heard him cuss under his breath when he did, but he didnt take time to fix it up. Ended up getting charged double for a shave when he just trimmed up my beard. He used the straight blade to clean up my cheeks with no shaving cream and threw a hot towel on me for about 20 seconds at the end. Overall: The actual haircut experience with the barber was not good for me at all. I made an appointment ahead of time and told them what I wanted, but they didnt book the time to do it. It seemed like the regulars were treated well, and the other barbers were much more attentive from what I saw. Theres another review from a year ago that sounds like the same guy, so it could just be the same bad apple. May try again, but 60 bucks for uneven blending on the beard, some missed spots on the cheeks and an OK haircut isnt really worth the 2 beers I drank while I waited.

The Good... Great haircut, relaxing atmosphere, nice staff, and a clean place overall. When it came to my haircut it was spot on to what i asked for and came out looking perfect. The Bad... I have a beard that i needed to be cut and trimmed and although i wasnt requesting anything special i was particular of how i wanted it to look afterward. That being said... - My cheeks were straight razored without shaving cream and spots were patchy in the areas he missed. - Did not blend my beard down my face - Mustache was cut unevenly - He did not shave the underside of my neck at all. - At two different points he was ready to conclude and i needed to ask him to shave more off of my beard as i had requested at the beginning to cut 1.5 inches off. - Stopped cutting to text multiple times - Rushed through the entirety of the cut and shave

Looks really awesome from outside and very nice and cozy on inside. The guy I believe his name was Mark was cutting my hair and kept texting people. I thought it is unprofessional while having a client. When he finished my haircut my bangs was very uneven. When I went to pay the cost was $30 . I gave $40 in cash and received only $5 back, so basically they tipped themselves. Which sucks because I was not gonna leave a tip for such a service. I told cashier that " it seems like my haircut is uneven " - she took scissor and cut a piece of hair herself right at the register. Weird. So when I got home, I spiked my hair all the way up and it was in the F***N diagonal !!!!! So not even bangs and the whole top was awfully cut for $35 ! This sucks! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Now Im gonna have to find another place to make it nice.

I flew into Hartford on a red eye from Los Angeles and the hotel did not have a room ready, so i walked down the street and came across this barbershop in the heart of downtown. Having business the next two days in Hartford I went in to get cleaned up. I have short beard and only a "few feathers" on top so i can start to look a little scraggly. I went inside and these guys were very cool and professional, and the shop has great vibe. I am 59 and I have had my hair cut all over this country and Europe too. Chris was the best barber that I can recall. Excellent the straight blade skills and has obviously has had a lot of training and experience. I would give him and his shop 6 stars if that was available, and the coffee is excellent as well. Anytime i am back in Hartford I am going in for the treatment.

For any men that wants to look sharp and classy I recommend you to come and visit Professional Barber Shop in downtown Hartford, its a great place to get a real gentlemans hair cut and a straight razor blade shave with hot towels just like our grandfathers used to do and unlike mall hair cut parlors this place is really a gentlemans place to treat yourself just like your wife and or girlfriend do when they go to get their pedicure done. As you wait you get treated to a cold drink, great music and if youre a suit then you can get your shoes shined just like back in the good days. Check them out, Im sure that youll visit them again. P.S. At the end of every cut you get treated to a nice shoulder rub so you can walk out of the shop looking refresh and feeling relax.

Love this barbershop, it has a great atmosphere which brings back the feel of the 1920s. All the barbers that work here are great and give amazing hot towel shaves, haircuts, and even finish off with vacuum tube to make sure you are clean enough to go straight to work or meeting. Definitely my go-to barbershop, I recommend this place to all those who want to experience a different type of barbershop that provides a unique setting and quality service delivering a great haircut or shave. Not to mention they have a shoe shining chair there too, Two thumbs up!

First time visiting Professional Barber Shop; from the moment I entered, I knew I was in for something special. I made an appt with the owner, Chris, at the recommendation of a good friend, (DJDarthFader), and was seated promptly. Chris took such care in my hair and cut that I was hooked immediately. His passion and intensity for his craft is pure genius. I wish I had found this place 20 years ago. I cannot recommend Professional Barber Shop enough and I look forward to my next appt.

I was a part of a groomsman party here. They were extremely accommodating and had us all looking sharp for the wedding the next day. They have a quality atmosphere and hilarious banter that rivals anything you would catch on the several TVs in the shop if youre looking to catch some sports or news updates. Definitely recommend either for an infrequent professional haricut or your regular visits; and if you can swing it, the VIP lounge is the way to go!

I have a unique head of hair, with waves and cowlicks. I have been going to the same person for 6 years, but i am in town for work and needed a cut. I was very nervous, but Sebastian listened very well and cut my hair exactly the way i wanted. Highly suggest this place. The price is crazy cheap for the service. He was friendly, and he cared about doing a good job.

I drive in about 40 minutes to get my hair cut here. Its a guys shop, ESPN on big screen TVs, cold beer on tap etc. Great attitudes and atmosphere. Ive been coming here for about 2 years now and always try to time it so I can come here for my haircut. My son is home from the Air Force and brought him with me. Great place for a guy to get a great hair cut.
