Mark and Angelo preserve the "old time barbershop" experience while giving great haircuts at a very fair and competitive price. I love the fact that this is an anchor institution on the charming main street of Rowayton. My three sons and I have been patrons for years and even though all three boys have moved away from the area, they time their haircuts, if possible, to coincide with a visit "home". Best place for a haircut in the Darien/Rowayton/New Canaan area.

Having moved to Darien after living in New York City for the last 10 years, there are a few things every guy needs to find when he changes locations....a good barber being one of them. After trying several around the area, the guys at Rowayton Barbershop were a clear standout and have my business until I move or go bald...neither of which should happen for many years if ever. $20ish bucks for a solid cut is money well spent in any town.

"$22 for a # 2 buzz cut . . . come on" -after reading this review, I called all barbers within a few miles and this was the cheapest. So Jim, I suppose you would rather go back to bridgeport. For a good cut in a fine town, this place may have cheaper alternatives, but once youre done feeling comfortable about parking your car in other locales, youve wasted your money in time.

In my first visit, the guy transformed my hair from a long, shaggy style to a perfectly manicured, clean-cut, side-part. He worked quickly and efficiently while providing the best quality cut Ive ever received demonstrating mastery of his own craft. He charged only $22 but I opted to pay him $40 instead. Worth every cent.

Went on Thursday, the sign says that it is open until 6:00. This is extremely deceptive. It is in practice appointment only after 5:00. Barber made no attempt to accommodate.
