I moved into town about two years ago. I wanted to find somewhere local to get my haircut. Originally I went to cost cutters had a very poor experience overall rude staff etc. I then found the southbury barbershop. The owner Donna is very friendly and easy to talk to which for me personally is a big plus. Her whole staff is always friendly anytime I come in and always make me feel welcome, unlike my experience with cost cutters. Great neighborhood barbershop with great prices. You just cant beat it!

What a horrible experience! I recieved a terrible haircut from a young girl who didnt know what she was doing; when I complained about it, another woman barber called me a "bastard". My expectation was a professional haircut and not to be insulted. I did not get either. I have had good experiences there in the past and had really liked the owner, but the owner now takes considerable time off and the lunatic employees just seem bitter to work there. Stay away.... I will from now on.

I asked the barber, an older woman, for a trim with a square back - she started using a # 4 cutter on the back of my head and I told her to stop, that I did not want it too short - she proceeded to use the cutter against my wished and cut my hair unevenly and too short. I would not let her cut my hair again!!!

Ive had a much better experience than the one review Ive read. The price is very fair and affordable, they know what theyre doing, Ive always gotten a great version of the haircut Ive asked for. This place has become my regular, and I know Im not the only one. Try it-- youll like it too. : )

The staff, service, and expertise at Southbury Barber Shop is exceptional. I have been going there for a few months and Kaci has given me a great haircut each time. They just moved to a beautiful new location at 220 Main St S. Highly recommended.
