This place should be shut down. They are only interested in profits. The children do not get personalized care and are herded around like cattle. My 4 year old has been there for a year and had 4 different head teachers. She is currently (and has been for the past month) without a head teacher at all. She is plunked into another classroom where she does not even have a cubby. She has different teachers every day and different teachers throughout the day. Her cubby is falling apart and the office told me there was nothing they could do about it even though it could injure her (she said all the cubbies are that way). Communication is terrible. If she does get a daily sheet, it rarely gives any personal information and usually does not even include whether or not she napped. I mistakenly enrolled my other child in their Junior summer camp and she is getting the same kind of treatment as they routinely cancel the field trips that were on the calendar for the summer. Teachers - The teachers I have experienced in this facility are caring and loving people. The problem is that they have no control over their day with the children and are shuffled around at the discretion of the main office. They are not given information from the office and therefore cannot offer any information or communication to the parents. Most of the good teachers leave for this reason which causes a VERY HIGH turnover on teachers. CHILDREN NEED CONSISTENCY! I do not have terribly high expectations of a daycare / early learning center, but I do expect that my child receives at least some personalized care, respect and education. I have seen very little, if any, of that at Beach Babies, Townsend, DE. I beg of you, as a fellow parent, please do not enroll your children in this facility. They deserve better and there are many better centers in the area.

Stay away from this care provider. They exist at the limit of the mandated child/teacher ratios so they move teachers and children around to stay legal. But what that means to your child (who like mine, probably thrive on a structured environment) is going to be moved around and always getting used to a new teacher. Most of the teachers are good but have trouble doing their job because moving around is not easy on them either. The prices are competitive, but beware, the management introduces new fees without apprehension thus making your costs above average. Ive talked to the owner and was unable to make headway with these issues. They are too concerned about extruding profit.

I volunteered here at beach babies and the daycare providers in the classrooms had zero patience for these kids and when it was nap time and a child didnt want to sleep and got up they would grab them by the arm and throw them on the bed! I was very unhappy with the way they were treated. One teacher was on her phone while a child was sticking a whole carrot in his mouth. Also they were very rude to the children who just wanted to play they would yell at them and scream and they didnt look like they liked their job. This place was very unorganized and very unfriendly. I would not suggest taking you kid here!!

I was there to volunteer and the day care providers were very unorganized and harmful to the children. When they went to nap if they wouldnt lay down, the providers wouldnt ask nicely and pick them up by their arms and throw back on the bed. They would yell and not care about the childrens feelings or anything. I would not recommend this place for many other reasons too. The people there dont look interested in their jobs and had very negative attitudes. Please send your child somewhere else.

My toddler went to Beach Babies for 1 year, and he had several excellent teachers who resigned because of poor management and write-ups. The children were biting each other all the time (including my child), but it was easier for them to suspend a 2 year for his biting behavior instead of training staff, educating the parents, and showing some compassion. I highly do not recommend you taking your children to this center because they will have to endure many transitions!!!

Despite the ratings that others have given. Ive been with this day care since the day they opened. Ive seen them grow from the start of about 5 kids to to where they are at now. There has been ups and downs, both personally with my children and with others. Ive seen the growing pains. My children are still there. Every issue Ive ever had with the place was promptly dealt with without complaint.

I love Beachbabies! My son has been attending for over a year and Ive had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers have been caring and compassionate. The front girls are always friendly and helpful. My son loves his class and teachers. I feel comfortable taking my child there knowing he is receiving tons of love and attention.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place has poor management skills and a high turnover rate. Teachers choose to leave. Like someone else said, the biting is a terrible issue there. My daughter would come home with bruises from bites and I never even got a phone call.I cant believe this placee is still open.

If you love your kid and your sanity stay away! I had constant problems with the "teacher" and the people in the office!
