DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT Think twice about this funeral home, their service is terrible!!!!! My mother passed on 12/29 they did not pick her up until January 5th!!! They were so preoccupied with all the funerals they had going on they didnt explain in detail what was needed, like my mothers urn would not be delivered, we had to drive and pick her up the day of the service, no sign in book absolutely nothing . My mothers service was on January 8th 2015 she was not cremated until January 28th! Mind you we picked up my mothers remains and death certificates, and a couple days later Ms. Lewis called and said my mother was ready waiting in the lobby! Very unorganized, unprofessional, there is no communication between the staff one person stated my mother was cremated then Ms. Walker stated she wasnt! Not to mention they didnt send the death certificate to the insurance company here it is February 5th, Ms. Walker gave me a tracking number for the certificate she sent that wasnt even registered then told me to call usps. Now its February 7th nothing has been done! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ones here!!!

Our experience during the passing of my mother-in-law was flawless. Everyone we came in contact with was conscientous and caring and the business side was handled with care and concern. I was tasked with handling the arrangements and when the family came together for the viewing they were more than impressed. We were given the chance to spend time reminiscing during the private viewing which proved to be invaluable to the family as we spent one last afternoon together with her. As one who has spent years working with various funeral homes I must say this one rates near the top. (The only ones above them are also members of our family) When we called them on Christmas Eve after the nursing home gave us 5 hours to have her picked up -- we actually had to ask them to hold off for an hour so we could get her children to the hospital. They were prompt, courteous and loving every step of the way. As a military family we had to coordinate with the military and it was seamless with Stewart. Stacy made a trying time -- palatable and allowed us to celebrate my mother in laws life stress free!

My uncle passed away 3/25, and it took a whole month for him to be cremated. Once he was cremated I didnt even get a call from this funeral home telling me he was, it took me to call them myself. Poor communication skills, customer service was poor also except from Ms. Washington, she handles the payments and funeral arraignments. My uncle just had his memorial yesterday. This funeral home brought my uncle remains and the cremation certificate, but in the folder they didnt even give me his death certificates. My mother call them to ask why didnt they bring his death certificates, and she spoke with a woman named "Ms. Lewis" and she refused to talk to my mother about her own brothers death certificate, Ms Lewis tells my mother that my uncles remains and the death certificates are downstairs and they have been calling me (which was a lie) so I can come pick them up

I am a patient/family advocate and have been sending families to Stewarts for more than 15 years for funeral arrangements, and have done a few on behalf of my own family. Never had any trouble. They were professional, offered all the pricing options, the service was orderly, on time, death certificates prompt and correctly filled out, even helped us with DC Coroners Office to get bodies released. The only folks I know who have trouble with Stewarts are the ones who dont give all the info they need to do their job right......

Greeting! The Stewart Funeral Home handle the services for my Mom that was great like always! This wonderful staff have served my family for over fifhty years! The price was no questions asked! My Mom had a smile on her face inside the casket doing her viewing..... Also they showed up at my Moms house the morning of the Funeral with some pretty Blue Cars! Always looking forward to do future arrangements with them! Thanks again! For making things so easy for us doing sad times!
