This place is a scam. I first signed on due to the pool at the Baymeadows location. When news of the move to the new location came, not only was it a surprise to me (and fellow gym members), I was forced to be pool less! When I brought this to the owners attention, she said I would need a doctors note to cancel my membership.. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT to me. Now the 2 locations (Baymeadows and St. Johns) are changed to "Just Fitness." So the reality now is this: the new location is farther away, another location closes down, and Im stuck with a gym membership I cant even use. After a long song and dance to get the correct information for cancellation, I sent in my certified letter to ABC Financial a few months back to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP, and surprise, my account has been charged yet again. I called the National Fitness hot line, because Golds apparently doesnt use ABC Financial anymore, and they have no record of my certified letter. I would suggest to anyone thinking about signing on with Golds to think twice about it, check out other gyms before signing your life over to Golds. They are money hungry and dont give two cents about your fitness or peace of mind!

I canceled and moved to Saint Augustine. I even sent them a certified letter and everything was fine and then another company starts doing the billing. This is ridiculous. I will never recommend there services. They are all crooks and I will checking on a class action lawsuit for there illegal billing practices. Also the gym is never clean and will never be done with the construction. The place is a joke. Join the YMCA, World’s Gym, or Bailey’s instead. Also Im in the same boat as Christy. I guess there is a new owner or something. Everything is getting screwed up.

Golds has recently moved to this location which is very nice, especially compared to the last one but dont even think of cancelling. First you have to get the number to call from the front desk, then once you call that number and wait on hold for 15-30 minutes they will give you the address to send your cancellation request to! Ridiculous!

According to the Golds Gym national website there is no Golds Gym in Jacksonville.
