This is a great fitness club, but its fairly expensive compared to other gyms Ive been a member of around the country for what you get. Its in the Venetian Bay, though, so its hard to expect a great value for your money in the area. I would like to emphasize that its a fitness club because theres definitely a much stronger emphasis on cardio machines (or just machines in general) than free weights. If you dont mind the drive or live somewhere further away, you might get a better value out of your dollar going somewhere else like Greater Fitness, Beach Street, or Planet Fitness. As a night owl with irregular working hours, the greatest thing about this club is 24-hour access and it being a five-minute walk from my house. And if youre able to come during off-peak hours youll generally not have to wait for anything. However, there is only one bench press station. There is a single power rack for those willing to set up in there, and its definitely the safest option if working out alone. Im sure the staff would throw a fit watching me dump plates on a failed 1RM. For the price I would hope to see at least two power racks, a small selection of training bumper plates for deadlifts, cleans, barbell rows, etc, and a larger space to work out in overall (even just a single set of 10s would be nice). It feels like the space could have been better utilized when you see how large the bathrooms and whatever is in the mystery storage area are. Possibly even an elevated lifting platform would be nice. The dumbbells only go up to 100 lbs, and you wont find many barbells or equipment like trap bars in here. I wouldnt consider myself strong, but Im already getting kind of close to maxing out for certain exercises like rows or farmers walks. As far as machines go I think I would have much preferred seeing an assortment of Hammer Strength. The gym is kept mostly clean. Id expect it to be a lot cleaner considering youre not even allowed to use chalk inside. Compared to nearby gyms like Beach Street in Daytona, this place is fairly sterile. I find myself having to reorganize weights on the weight trees and equipment at night, and I usually throw away some water bottles that are left behind. I imagine the staff keeps the place fairly well-organized during the day. This fitness club is presently serving me pretty well, but as soon as I save up a bit to buy a proper power rack, utility bench, and barbell Ill probably end up converting my garage to a gym to save money in the long run. I feel this club is easily a 3.5 or 4 out of five, but Google Reviews dont seem to allow for half-ratings, and the other two reviews give a 5 with no critique. With that said, I opted to truncate the 3.5 to 3 to try and maintain a fair perspective.

Had the absolute worst experience. My brother and I checked in as new members and right off the bat, the owner started listing other gyms we should be going to. And the whole time shes talking to us, her phone is going off. We tried brushing this off. So we spent barely an hour there (to meet staff hours) and walked away feeling like we were working out with cheap equipment. Very disappointing! Also, the website is very misleading so dont trust anything they post. The owner is rude, unprofessional and her gym isnt worth going to. Save your money and invest in home gym or a more friendly one in the area!
