During our 22 years of marriage, we have tossed around the idea of taking dance lessons, but life always seemed to get in the way. This year we decided to make the time and started dancing at Arthur Murray’s for a fun way to spend a date night. This was one of the best decisions we have ever made. From the start, it was more than we had anticipated. The staff was friendly, caring and professional. The instructors made everything not only fun and easy, but they also sincerely built up our confidence as dancers. We were having such a great time, feeling the exhilarating benefits, and learning a great deal very quickly. When we say learning a great deal, we don’t mean just dance steps. It turns out that the “connection” you are learning in ballroom dance translates, in many ways, into a good relationship. Our marriage has never been better! We are spending more time together, having a wonderful experience, developing great dancing skills, and getting more physically fit. It’s a lot of bang for your buck, especially if your relationship ranks high on your priority list. As a fantastic bonus, we have made lots of new wonderful friends as well. At Arthur Murray’s Orlando, you are part of a family.

Ive been taking mostly private lessons there for over a year. The instructors are fun, goofy, but professional. The quality of instruction is incredible, they cater to different learning styles, and are very patient. Im not sure what industry standard is, but their lessons are only 45 minutes. For me, that is not enough time to tire me mentally or physically. Half the lesson is spent learning verbally, and also socializing. This is only a concern because of their high prices. They also do not have many options for lesson packages. They sell assortments of massive lesson packages (eg. 29 private lessons + 29 group + 29 "parties") that force you to spend more time and money than you intended. I wish they offered smaller or custom packages. They will throw in "parties" with the packages, but the parties are just 45 min of 1 minutes songs everyone can dance to, with a few drinks and no food is provided. Overall, Arthur Murray provides incredible instruction and an amazing experience.

We loved our instructor. He explained things in a really clear, understandable way. However, what we didnt like about this place was the hard sell. Every lesson (45 minutes long) had about 10-15 minutes devoted to trying to convince us to buy more lessons. We went in there only wanting to learn one dance for our wedding, but during every lesson, wed be steered towards trying to learn dances wed never really do. It began to be uncomfortable. I know we most definitely couldve used more instruction, but if they had spent less time selling and more time listening, we might have stayed. I would search for a private studio. Plus--everything is a package deal--we couldnt just buy one single personal lesson. It was expensive...really expensive. If you need to get lessons, I wouldnt say avoid it at all costs, but I would definitely be extremely clear as to what you want, and be prepared for a hard sell. It felt like we were at a used-car dealership.

My wife and I took lessons here for several months, after I purchased a few lessons for an anniversary gift. I wasnt sure what to expect, as neither of is had any experience. But after a few lessons, it became clear that we could learn and the formula that they use works for just about anyone. Our instructor, Iccy, Im sure I spelled that wrong, was wonderful. Extraordinarily patient, but extremely knowledgeable. We got as far as we wanted and decided to move on, because like anything else in life, it does cost money. But I feel that you do get what you pay for, and they were flexible on helping us get to where we wanted to be and how it worked for us. We do hope to go back one day and start it up again, but I would recommend this studio for the beginner and the experienced dancer. It is a clean and family friendly fun environment with lots of support and experience.

The question "would you like to dance?" always paralyzed me and after decades of living with that I decided to do something. From my first visit, the entire team at the studio made me feel welcome, encouraged me through my awkward moments, unlocked my sense of timing, taught me a variety of dance steps to cover almost any social situation, and provided an environment which builds confidence as well as long-lasting friendships with other students. Over the course of my lessons Ive had the priviledge of seeing the instructors work with other students. Every interaction is unique, tailored to each students needs, style of learning and interests. The studio is filled with laughter and support. So, who wants to dance? Lets go NOW!

As an Instructor at Arthur Murray Orlando, I am part of one of the greatest teams in the world, and Im proud of it! How many days a month do you wake up and want to stay in bed? It never happens to me anymore! The FAMILY of students and instructors at Arthur Murray gives me every reason to look forward to EVERY day. The energy at the studio, the learning, the fun atmosphere, the motivation to excel, the increasing self-confidence, and the genuine care from everyone are just some of the features that I look forward to witnessing in my day. You can dance anywhere (even in your own living room), but dancing at Arthur Murray Orlando is a one-of-a-kind experience. Dancing can and will improve the life of anyone who allows it in. Wow, where do I begin... Arthur Murray has been such an amazing gift to my life and my dancing. I started at this studio a little shy of a year ago and I have absolutely no regrets. From the moment you start as a student there, you are made to feel like part of the family. The entire team, from the staff to the instructors, genuinely cares about your progress and really helps you achieve your goals. Yes, it can be a very costly part of your life, but it is well worth it. You get the chance to be a performing star or even to gain the confidence to dance socially because everyone at Arthur Murray welcomes you with open arms, despite your previous dance experience. There are not enough words or compliments I can give Arthur Murray Orlando because I am so proud to be a part of their family!

i came to arthur murray in late nov 2010 to get out and meet ppl and do something i always wanted to do. now this has become my 2nd home and i love every minute i spend there. i love to dance and at first i was a little shy and reserved and always thought that ppl are watching me, i got over that and i really dont care if someone is watching, we are all learning there. thanks to all the great instructors ,past ;-( and present, for being patient (Z) flirty (G) and somewhat pushy (S). (you know who you are ). everyone there including all the students are very supportive and great. its the best thing i have done for myself in a long time. oh, by the way the added benefit of dancing.... weightloss and confidence booster. ;-D
