I cant say enough about the compassion and professionalism our family was given at MacDonald Funeral Home upon my wifes passing on July 3rd. Owner Lowell and Funeral Director Advisor Ron had to quickly make arrangements happen with their funeral home for a visitation, the church for a mass and the memorial location for burial services. in a very short window of three days, being everything is closed on the 4th, they completely took care of all arrangements for us. This greatly put our minds at ease during a very difficult time for our family. They are a small family owned funeral home, not owned by a large corporation, and you can definitely feel the personal warmth from everyone at MacDonald Funeral Home. Coming from a small town in NY which had these type of funeral homes back in the day, it was refreshing to find that such a place still exists. This was my first experience losing a loved one and Mr. MacDonald and his staff truly made it a smooth and everlasting memory. Mr. MacDonald listened to the details of my sisters life and turned her memorial service into a beautiful day. His kindness and consideration knew no bounds and his attention to detail, even down to my sisters favorite color being a theme at the service, was impeccable. I am so thankful to Mr. MacDonald for all the little things he did that made the celebration of her life special, and I am also very grateful for all the BIG things he did, handling all the state paperwork, that made it as easy a process as possible. MacDonalds recently helped us say farewell to my mother. I started working with Lowell and his team back in January. As time passed and the end neared, Lowell and Ron were patient, understanding and absolutely wonderful. Their facility is cozy and puts you at ease; you feel like you are home. The team did an amazing job capturing Moms essence and our visitation pleasant. They are prompt, courteous and most of all, offer services that are affordable. If you ask for something theyve never done, they are open and help make it happen! I highly recommend MacDonald for help handling the most unbearable moment in your life.
