There are no words for how AMAZING this school it. Let me elaborate. To begin, the owner of this fine establishment is Paul, and there is no way for me to describe the immeasurable kindness he has shown my child and our family. He is at the facility most every day, saying hi, checking in, talking with staff and parents. Every child I have ever seen him encounter (which has been a lot) he called by name offering a smile and a hug. You can usually get a good idea of the kind of place being run when you are able to meet the owner. Next would be the staff! I can not rave about all of the employees enough. The front desk staff is so kind and always greets us with a smile and hello. Darla is wonderful. So kind, so patient, and runs a great school. Suzanne is always available to answer questions and provide assistance, Ms Kathy in the kitchen is always preparing delicious meals for the kiddos and assisting when they need something. The teachers.... My daughter started in Mrs. Laurens class a little over two years ago and still to this day says that she is her best friend. Anytime I ask who taught her something her response is Mrs. Lauren (even if I know that it was myself or her daddy) She really made a positive impact on my daughter. I remember how much she would cry when I would drop her off and I found so much comfort when I was able to pull up the camera at work and see Mrs. Lauren loving on her. Through the years I felt like she really received the love she needed as well as the knowledge. Each classroom is filled with an enormous number of toys and activities for the children with fully stocked home living areas, libraries, dress up corners, blocks, cars, dolls...you get the picture. I didnt have to worry about my child being bored...ever. Which gave me comfort. The curriculum starts from a very early age and I could clearly see a difference within the first week. Two years later my child is 2 months away from 4 and can spell small words, identify all of her letters, count up to 40, write her name, and has passed every evaluation with flying colors. She is beyond her years and if allowed could easily have started PreK this year. I work with her at home, but credit 90% of what she is able to do to this school. I am so sad to have to say good bye. For 6 months I traveled an hour to this school and then another hour to work, then did it all again for the journey home. It is worth it. That is how much we have enjoyed this school. Mrs Melissa, Mrs. Lauren, Ms Elizabeth, Mr Nathan, Ms Erica, Ms Luma, Mrs. Darla, Ms Suzanne, Mr Paul, Ms Kathy, everyone I may have forgotten and everyone who has come and gone during our time, THANK YOU. For running such a great school, with a great staff, great families, great support, and great fun! I imagine we will be visiting off and one when were on that side of town. You have set the bar really high and we love you for it!

We have been so happy with our choice to move our four year old to Kids R Kids of East Roswell. Everyone has made us feel so welcome. In the short time he has been there, he has really fallen in love with his teachers,Nathan and Chrissy! We have been going through a rough patch at home and Nathan and Chrissy have each taken the time to talk to my husband and I to find out how they can help us through it. It is clear to see they are truly invested in his well being and genuinely care. We feel like we struck gold by being placed in the Discoverers class! Each day my son comes home singing us new songs and sharing fun facts from the day. ("Mommy, we have a globe in our class. Did you know that you can see the seven continents on the globe?"). My infant will start attending this summer and we are really excited to watch him go through their entire program. Ms. Hilary and Ms. Suzanne at the front desk have also made a huge impact on our experience. Each time we enter the building we are greeted with a warm smile and friendly words. They are both kind, professional and resourceful. The staff all seem genuinely happy and passionate about what they do. In the time weve been there, we have seen teachers rewarded with luncheons, teacher appreciation events and heard about other fun incentives like a trip to Disney for two teachers. Wow!!! I have been working with early childhood programs for almost twenty years in many different capacities. East Roswell Preschool has exceeded my expectations by far! Im sure my friends and family are tired of hearing me talk about our preschool but I have been seriously blown away by the world class program Mr. Paul and the director, Darla, have built! Thank you, thank you, thank you a hundred times!!!!

I called over this summer to inquire about an opening for my 4 year old to start Pre-K in the Fall and was told with enthusiam by the owner that several openings were available and "to come down to fill out an application" Of course I showed up excited that I was able to find a school close to my residence. As soon as I arrived I immediately felt like an outcast! They pretended they didnt notice me and my son for a few minutes until one of the receptionists asked me to sign in. Once she realized I was the person the owner spoke to over the phone- she met with him in his office and she came back out and told me to complete a waiting list form. Confused, I told her that the owner said there were a few openings. She forced a smile and said that unfortunately that wasnt the case. She quickly fumbled over her words trying to explain to me that the owner gets so excited when parents call over the phone inquiring about enrollment to the school. He has no clue how many children are on the roster and they always have to tell parents that there arent any openings available when they show up. I was extremely disappointed as I knew she was lying. I have 4 kids and have many years of experience dealing with childcare centers. I have never heard such a thing! What kind of business owner doesnt know how many kids are enrolled in his school? What the real issue was is that I am a person of color and I felt that my appearance wasnt what they were expecting when I initally spoke to him over the phone. I also took notice of the parents and children in the center. I saw maybe one child who happened to be of color. I understood what I was dealing with at this center. I politely excused myself and left.

Here is a recent email I sent to the school: Paul and Darla, With our daughter finishing up her first month in Kindergarten, I wanted to send you an email to let you know how pleased we are with KRK and specifically Ms. Jenny and Ms. Carole for getting her “kindergarten ready”! We had expected that she would be as ready as any child for the transition given that she has been in daycare full-time since 6 months old. However, we had no idea just how much of a difference there would be academically, socially and personally…not only has she not experienced frustrations when it comes to the learning side but she is excited about it and even asks for more homework; she is already exhibiting leadership skills among her classmates and is so helpful to her friends that are struggling; and her independence and ability to acclimate to change grows each day! While we attribute a lot of this to her personality and of course hope that some of it is our parenting :), we believe that her pre-K experience is contributing significantly to her success! So thank you for providing such a wonderful place for our girls and for being so diligent in hiring and keeping the best of the best teachers around!
