The concept is wonderful however the communication is horrible. As a new family to the company (my previous company Lee Harper closed), I never truly know what is going on. They should really invest in a newsletter so that people will know. I did not know at all that they had a Nutcracker production and actually went to another companys production of it. They never send notices of upcoming productions home. Randomly and inconsistently we receive half thought out emails. With the amount that the company cost, one would think that simply sending communication home would not be a problem. Also parents are not guaranteed a ticket at the performance. Their production of the Harlem Renaissance was sold out and several parents were closed out of the performance. Why not simply send one ticket home for each child? Additional ones can always be purchased. They only have class on Saturday mornings for elementary aged kids. This doesnt work for everyone. Also, parking is nonexistent . There is a lot for about 4 cars! Three stars because the potential is there for a strong business. They have the talent just not the business expertise to keep clients.

Ballethnic is one of the most Elite African American Ballet Companies in the United States, that Trains, Teaches and Tailors the talent and skills of young people, using their individual gifts in correlating them into multiple creative dance concepts and disciplines. My daughter had an awesome opportunity and experience with Balletnic Dance Company. Rory performed one season in the Leopard Tale, written and produced by Waverly Lucas and Nena Gilreath ,Directors and Founders of Ballethnic. This PHENOMENAL work should have been on BROADWAY,just one of their many excellent, original pieces in their repertoire. Waverly and Nena keep doing what you do. Planting seeds of greatness to so many young people INSTILLING IN THEM THAT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! God Bless and may this year be more fruitful than last year!!!

I have no idea what the lady above me is talking about. Ballethnic is known world wide. If youre serious about learning to be a "real" technically trained dancer, this is THE place. The founders and instructors are the real deal and can be trusted with your childrens potential, talent, social skills, creativity, emotions and intellect!
