For the BEST belly dancing in Atlanta, Nazeem Allayl is the place to be. I have been taking classes at the Perimeter studio and absolutely LOVE IT!! Ive taken both the Walk-In Workout classes and a few of the 6-week choreography classes and both are really great depending on what you are looking for. If youre looking to work up a sweat and feel the calories melt away, I would highly recommend taking the Walk-In Workouts with Shenez. She will belly boot camp you right into shape (but not in a scary way!) If you want to actually learn a full dance to a song, the 6-week choreography classes with Schadia are awesome. But don’t limit yourself to only the teachers metioned above, all the instructors are super sweet and very willing to teach you everything they know, which is what I love most about this studio. They get to know you by name and make you feel comfortable and welcome. Aside from the great selection of classes, they also have a HUGE inventory of goodies for sale, like coin sashes, dancewear, jewelry, props, etc… just about everything you need. Many of the stuff are one-of-a kind and are so beautiful, the hardest part is choosing.

This is the best bellydance studio in the southeast! The studio teachers are bother personable and professional. Women dance here from all walks of life, and everyone is friendly and inviting. Nazeem Allayl has the best shows and haflas. Their shops are unrivaled with the prettiest dancewear around, not to mention the widest selection. Their workout classes are great for losing weight and feeling good. The studios themselves are spacious enough to not feel overcrowded, but homey enough to feel... homey! Joining this studio was the best decision of my life.

I took a class at the Candler Rd. studio on the urging of a friend. My friend thought that a certain instructor would be teaching the class but on the first day of class, we realized Schadia was teaching it. I dropped out after 3 classes. I found Schadias personality to be very abrasive and her dancing and instruction to be mediocre. Nazeem Allayl Studio has good instructors, unfortunately, the owner is not one of them. And her (Schadias/the owners) personality was so offensive I vowed never to go there again, not even to one of the other teachers.

My wife loves the Studio and the classes. What she does not appreciate is there are 20 minutes of advertising or announcements at the beginning of each class. If necessary she can endure this but she should not have to pay to listen to the advertising. If she is paying for 1 hour then she should receive 1 hour of class!! Please consider this feedback to avoid her looking for another studio. It is very convenient and she really enjoys it.

This is a brand new studio and thus looks very clean. I went to this studio for annual Mother-daughter workshop in May. Schadia, the owner of the studio, gave such a pleasant workshop for us. There were quite a lot of mothers with their cute little daughters and they were having lots of fun! Seems like this studio sometimes has open-house events in which you can get belly dance goods with nicer deals. I would definitely go back:)

I love the technique and choreography classes! You are with the same teacher and students for six weeks, and it is so much fun getting to know everyone! Each teacher brings her own unique style to the class and they all truly seem to love what they do! Whether it is an entire dance or knew dance moves, at the end of the six weeks I walk away feeling like I accomplished something.

Pros: Great value. Great atmosphere. Great teacher. Great locations -Perimeter, Windy Hill (Vinings area) and Little 5 Great show – if you want to show off what you have learned. The studio has a show twice a year in which you can participate. They also have haflas twice a year.Great BD clothing/accessories store Great exercise. Cons Only one – No credit or debit cards accepted.

I know they were not kumu hula, but at least know the correct terminology for the steps. when I pointed ouut to the instructor, she became very defensive and said thats how her Kumu taught her.I looked up that Kumu and thats not what she teaches. They need a refresher course, they have dvds available on-line to purchase
