I clearly and specifically communicated my requirements to the sales person several times before contracting any work to this company. The sales person repeatedly confirmed that they could prepare and finish the work in the manner that I had requested. Each detail was written into the contract stipulating the type of preparation work that I wanted done and the type of material that I requested in order to accomplish the finish and durability that I needed. I had to go to work on the day that the work began, so I left my wife with the specifics of each area of concern that I wanted to make sure was addressed and or confirmed with the project manager and workers before the work was started in order to avoid any confusion. Everything was again discussed and agreed upon but nothing was done properly. My wife was suspicious that they were skipping steps but the workers told her they were doing it as requested. Because of my wifes suspicions, I had to leave work and go home to check on the project. I found that they were ignoring my specific requests and lying to my wife. They initially tried to lie to me but when they found that I had a technical understanding of the work they admitted that they were not doing it as contracted. They failed in every aspect and did irreparable damage to a project that I had worked countless hours and many months to prepare. In addition to the improper prep and finish, they ignored my requests to take precautions to protect the custom made stainless steel counters, custom painted built-in tool boxes, and specialty painted floor finish. Their sloppy work doesnt match their sales pitch.

Had wrap around porch and rear deck stained. Rear deck was a color change. They recommend Sherwin Williams Super Deck Elastomeric stain. The porch they used same Cabot Stain as has been on the deck for years. The porch came out very good. A few minor things I will touch up and looks like they may have gotten a little stain on my siding. The rear deck is just so so. The pickets they sprayed with regular Super Deck stain and the coverage is inconsistent in areas. The Elastomeric stuff I am not impressed with. They had to do a second coat because it does such a poor job of covering. Stupid me did not do my research and this stuff gets very mixed reviews. I will have to find time to rework some of the pickets. I have never been a fan of spraying because you get too thin of a coating. Next time I will pay extra to have everything brushed and rolled. I have updated my rating because after 2 attempts to get them to resolve some touch ups I gave up and started to do some of the work myself. As I touched up some I found masking tape still under my porch and the railing prep was probably poor as several corners have chipped and peeled and other areas need some work. Such a shame as I liked their work before and even this job was mostly done very well.

Start to finish, this was a top-notch experience. The level of preparation, the woodwork and window rebuilding that needed to be done was difficult to say the least. I wish I had before and after photos of the bay window and other work that had to be done to show others the difference. It took time, skill and commitment to detail to do what this team did ...absolutely a first-class job. I have probably painted the equivalent of four houses (more inside than out) and am meticulous about my work - no roller overlap marks, clean cut-in edges and a high quality finish and look. I know what good work looks like and was honestly a bit concerned about whether a painting crew could do as well. This crew absolutely did. Great quality work in the prep, window rebuilding, small trim and large wall painting. They were professional, worked hard, cleaned up every day, checked in with me daily and, at the end, made sure I was completely satisfied with a walk around. This company deserves every bit of the high praise they receive. I am a customer for life. - Bart

I had them paint my town home in June of 2015. The painters showed up and had no idea what they were supposed to do. I had to print out my estimate so they would know what all to do. They started removing rotten boards and scraping paint off. They left a mess everyday. I had them install flashing under my french doors leading out to my desk. They installed the flashing over the siding because they forgot to install it. I complained about it since I know that flashing goes under the siding. Marcus insisted that flashing goes over the siding. I know better but they would not fix it. They painted it and it looks like crap. Also, I asked the painters to clean up the paint scrapings and they stated that they had never scraped a house this much. I call bull crap and they were just lazy. They got brooms and "cleaned" all they could. I got out there with my rake and cleaned it myself. Do not use this company especially if you are a woman. They talk down to you and will try to convince you that what they are doing is right but actually it is wrong.

The estimating and sales phase was excellent. Next was 1/2 day of pressure washing the outside of the house -- the person doing the washing overlooked 2 windows in the rear of the house. I know because the windows still had spiderwebs. The 2nd day consisted of two brothers dressed in non-descript work clothes and an old van with no logos who did repair work, sanding, and cleaning...and some painting. The 3rd day consisted of four men who finished the painting work. The results of the wood repair and painting was satisfactory. The job was done completely and the men invited me to review the work. There were some paint spills here and there and signs of not using painters tape where it would have been useful. Bits of trash and shards of wood remained on the periphery of the house.

We hired them to paint the interior of a house we recently purchased. If I had to describe the quality of their work in one word: superb. The painters arrived -- and completed the three-day job -- on time. And the job was flawless. The cost was very competitive and everything from the initial quote to cleanup was handled in a prompt and professional manner. Danny, the job foreman, deserves a special mention because he changed a burned out bulb for us on the beam of our living rooms vaulted ceiling that we couldnt possibly have gotten to ourselves. We would recommend The Painting Company to anyone looking for first-rate quality at a reasonable price and plan to use them again when its time to paint the exterior of our home.

Chris Camp and his team did an amazing job in our kitchen. They came out quickly, told us exactly what to expect, and did a fantastic job with our cabinets. It looks like a whole new room. Wes, Marcus, and Jose were very kind and patient answering our questions beforehand and even during the project. Paul was also wonderful to work with on a separate project painting the pool house in our neighborhood. I would absolutely recommend the Painting Company to anyone needing interior or exterior work done by an honest and experienced group. Their integrity shows in everything they do.
