Inexpensive, basic membership ($160/yr). Usually not too crowded. Treadmills look out through picture windows, which is great. They seem to be going downhill. Many machines are out of order and havent been repaired for over 2 months. Now they are apparently no longer offering wipe-down towels, just paper (temporary?). They used to offer WiFi which was great since cell coverage is spotty but they discontinued that service.

This company is shady. They advertise as $10 a month and then charge a hidden $39.99 annual fee that you agreed to when you signed the contract. The annual fee is not easily visible on the contract. When you cancel early they charge $75 cancellation fee. They make you send a letter when you want to cancel and make it extra difficult for you.

I was visiting town this past weekend and went to Charter as a guest. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The place has everything I needed to get a great workout - no frills, not overly large, but nicely equipped and more than sufficient. Ill definitely go back again on my next trip.

Paid $10 for a single day fee as I am traveling. Staff very nice but equipment rusted, out of date, and hard to adjust (I dont think a single drop of oil has ever touched any of them). Mens bath area a bit beat up and unkempt. Likely will not return and use other gyms in area.

Since Charter took over, they blast really loud teen music and broadcast the brain-dead "Charter TV" channel. They must be trying to get rid of everybody over the age of 19. Old employees were just fine, the new guys are pretty surly.

Health club is ok, locker room is small to the point of being cozy. Contract policy is thinly veiled license to steal. Eh. Shop elsewhere.

Ive been working out there for 3 years. The thing I like best is that everyone is there to get fit instead of flirt.
