I decided to try Ginger Root on a whim because of the 2 previous good reviews. Needless to say I am less than satisfied with my experience. I am left not feeling "renewed or uplifted" according to their mission statement. I was in and out in 17 minutes and thats including time to shampoo & wash my hair. The stylist seemed like she was only interested in getting me in and out as quickly as possible. It seems like so many stylists these days lack any sort of attention to detail. When she was finished with my hair cut she didnt bother to show me what the back looked like, my sideburns were uneven and one was cut on an angle and there were hairs all over my face from the cut. I can understand that you may not give someone a good cut but the very least you can do is take 2 minutes out and make sure your client doesnt leave with hair all over their face. It is extremely embarrassing to know that I was walking around in public with hair all over my face and in my ears. Id expect a little more from someone who has worked there for 10 years and $40 later. I called when I got home and asked to speak to the owner and I was told hed call me back but I never got a call. My suggestion to the owner and any other salon owner for that matter is to have "secret shoppers" get hair cuts in your establishments and report back to you on their experience so you can have a better understanding of who you have working for you and what things they may need to work on with their clients so they leave happy. My hunt for a good stylist continues...

Ive been coming to Ginger Root Salon for several years now and highly recommend it. The salon is bright, clean and has a pleasantly laid-back vibe. Most of the stylists and support staff are friendly and knowledgeable, as are the owners. Jameson in particular does an amazing job! I trust him to the point that I tell him to do what he thinks is best. Weve had a lot of fun trying out new, unique cuts and colors. And having seen his mens cuts in action, if you want a crisp look and attention to detail hes a good guy to go to.

I always have a good time getting my haircut with Jameson. He always takes the time to figure out what I want and has the ability to translate my inarticulate requests into something that fits me perfectly. Highly recommended!
