I signed up with Staffworks a few weeks ago which was a big mistake. They continue to post lies on Careerbuilder about having great positions but once you go in for the interview, they tell everyone there that the positions are no longer available. The positions that they do have pay very low. Signing up with the company was a waste of time. I work worked 2 weeks then quick because the assignment required you to bust your butt for money that a kid can make flipping burgers. Then Staffowork has you sign a promise note stating that you will work 80 hrs, if you did not work the 80 hrs your paycheck will be short because they take out $80.00 for the drug test. Ive never heard of an agency making YOU pay for the drug test that Staffworks perform in their office. Also, they "are not equipped" for direct deposit so be prepared to pick up a check every week. The recruiter that was in charge of my assignment told me to come pick up my check but when I got there the weirdly shaped head lady at the front desk told me the check was mailed out the day I walked in when I was told that they would not mail my check. They also lied and said my check was coming from corporate office when they loser guy just told me earlier that day that he had my check in the office. After all the hell they put you through you have to beg for your check. They had so many people stuffed in a small room applying for jobs that they do not have. EVERYONE in the office is rude, no matter how friendly you try to be. Please save yourself the time and energy and do not sign up with this company. I wish I wouldve read the reviews prior to giving them all of my personal information.

I tried looking for a job in my field for a month, which is too long to be unemployed in my mind. Sometimes you have to humble yourself when looking for work. I came in to Staffworks applying for a general labor position, as my work experience is a bit broad and hard to accommodate for most staffing agencies. I wasnt treated like "cattle" like other reviewers have suggested. They deal with a large group of people in a small time frame, so they try and move through everyone as quickly as possible for the benefit of everyone. I started work immediately the next day in a temp-to-hire situation. Im a good worker and got along well with my managers. I quickly found that the problem was not with "staffworks" or other temp/employment agencies, but of the work ethic and lack of social skills of people that staffing agencies can often draw. When I went in for my interview, most of the people applying were not even dressed professionally. Most were just wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I cant speak for everyone obviously, but most reviews are written by people with bad experiences. The user "hoosier" didnt even have an experience. He heard about experiences and wrote a review based on those. To finish up, I worked with staffworks for over a year working several different jobs until I became a permanent employee at a business we felt I was best suited for. Be a good worker and they will do their best do find the best position for you. Its obviously in their best interest to do that.

StaffWorks greatly exceeded my expectations! As a Hiring Manager with ongoing need of qualified, experienced, dedicated workers, my extensive experience with staffing agencies was discouraging, to say the least. The industry motto seemed to be "throw enough of them at the wall and some will stick." StaffWorks changed my perception. Initiallly, they provided individuals who met/exceeded expectations. When the need arose to open a new office, they filled more than 90 positions on very short notice. We did, in tandem, use an alternate agency, with dismal results. Although offered the same number of positions as StaffWorks, this agency was not able to provide even 10% of the needed associates. Of those provided, only 2 to 3 individuals met expectations to be offered direct employment with our firm. StaffWorks will always be my first contact for either short or long term staffing needs. The mgmt team is very receptive to client input and resolving issues. They proactively notified us of potential issues to ensure we were aware of items that might impact our ability to deliver to (SLAs) service level agreements with our clients. Wish there were more agencies focused on providing this level of client satisfaction. If they exist, I have yet to encounter them; even with many years of working extensively with multiple national and local agencies.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!! They did a pretty good job of getting me an assignment (although the pay wasnt much) in the beginning. But once my assignment ended I never recieved my last check. They claimed they mailed it to me but I never recieved it. I had to pay $25 to get another check printed off in which I didnt get until 3 weeks after my initial pay date. After that assignment they never sent me anywhere else, or even reached out to me to see if I had found employment somwhere else. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I never recieved my W-2 in the mail. I called and they said they sent it to my address, but I had never recieved it and according to them it hadnt been sent back, so again they said for a $40 fee, I could get another W-2 but it would take 48hrs to get the copy. I called the IRS and recieved a FREE copy of my W-2 but it didnt have all the employer ID information on there, I called staffworks again and explained the situation. They told me if I paid the $40 fee I could get all the information I needed. I asked why the fee if I didnt need the W-2 the man told me he wasnt going to explain it anymore and hung up on me! This company is money hungry and DOES NOT respect their clients. I am highly disappointed and disgusted by the way I have been treated and talked to while working through them.

This company is ran so poorly. I was hired as a temp worker through them. When my job was fullfilled they shouldve sent me my paycheck, instead I have been waiting for 5 weeks now to receive my paycheck from them. When I call they are unprofessional and SO RUDE!!!! They sent my check to the wrong address but wont send me another one without a letter from me that states I need this issue investigated. When I sent the letter they would not confirm that they received the letter. I have asked many times to speak with a manager, Amber, who either will not come to the phone or the office staff will not put me through to her. I would NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy! They are not professional and they are mean. When they set me up for another job interview it was in downtown Indianapolis, I live in Westfield and currently have no means of transportation to get me that far, I was told my their staff that I was refusing an interview and they would no longer keep me employed with them. Some help they are!! But I still have no check 5 weeks later!!!
