Manpower has sent me to the same places, year after year, and their jobs only last 1 week to 2 months. They do this to avoid permanent placement. If they can keep you working temporary assignments, they make money, if you are hired, they lose a temp worker. The whole idea of Temp-work is basically slavery. Employers want Temp-Workers because they dont have to pay health-insurance on them, so they pay a Temp-Agency like Manpower to fill their labor force. They pay Manpower 10-20 dollars for a Temp-Worker, and the worker receives HALF of that, sometimes less. Manpower then hires YOU, and makes anywhere from 6-10 dollars an hour OFF of you, by paying you only minimum wage (7.25 an hour) for a factory job that should be paying you 10-15 an hour. Manpower once called me at 7 AM to tell me I had a check at their office. I made a special trip to Richmond to collect it (being my last check ever with them). Lo and belod, a check for $1.70. Who writes a check for $1.70??? The women who work in their office are snooty, stuck-up, and rude. Their customer service is worse than Poor. If I could rate them lower, I WOULD. I worked for them for YEARS, and made next-to-nothing.

I worked a clerical position at Manpower and can attest that while imperfect at times, each staff member deeply cares for the individuals they work with to find placements and often work extra hours or go out of their way in order to help more men and women find jobs. Being a staffing agency is not easy because it is the "middle man" between companies and the workforce, but I believe Manpower does a wonderful job being intentional with individuals and respecting everyone involved as best they can. During my time there, I witnessed Manpower staff help many individuals realize their potential in companies that fit their interests and skill sets. As a company, I have seen them conduct their business more successfully and meaningfully than any other staffing agency in Richmond.

Took my Tests blew them away, studied for my interview and did well. Got hired and started working for Belden through them. I worked hard, came in 10 minutes early every day and I just got notified that Belden likes me well enough to hire me on permanently. Every time I contacted Manpower they were always there to give me a hand and help. It is scary at first leaving a job like the one I had to do a trial job where my performance decided whether I would get hired or not. But like I have always been told, Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might. I worked hard and I am Proud to be with one of the best companies in Richmond IN.

Working for Manpower was a waste of time. The staff member I dealt with did not have a care in the world. She was VERY rude and did it abusively as well as loud. I was placed into a job that treated their temp workers poorly and it was never monitored by Manpower. Unlike their fellow competitor; Adecco. Adecco checks into their temps work locations once a week to speak with their workers as well as deal with problems. If you are looking for a job and dont mind being treated like garbage Manpower of Richmond is your best bet. Expect low wages and no benefits also.

Stood in front of the receptionist for 10 minutes while she completely ignored that o was there and just kept answering phones, call me crazy but I always thought that you should atleast, at the bare minimum acknowledge the customer in front of you! Wouldnt even get 2 stars if it wasnt for the fact they placed me in a job before!

I worked at B&F Plastics trough manpower of Richmond. I ended up homeless and had to go back to indy after one day cause of issues with my roommate and they still havent paid me, and wont cooperate with the food stamp office to tell them when my last day was. Manpower is not very helpful for when your in a bad situation.
