My fiancee and I went to Arthur Murray in Severna Park to take some lessons so that we didnt embarrass ourselves at our wedding. The introductory lesson was great and we were both very comfortable with the feel of the place and the staff. After our initial lesson, we sat down in the office for the business end of things. Our instructor felt we would be fine with a 6 lesson package, which includes (for the couple) 6 private lessons, 6 group sessions, and 6 open practice sessions. Total cost = $720. Sure, that may seem like a lot, but break it down and its actually very reasonable. Ill also note that that is the package that was recommended by our instructor. They have much larger packages, which she didnt feel we needed. Maybe some people really cant dance and thats why they need $7,000 worth of lessons? I went in after reading some other reviews, all ready to fight the high-pressure sales pitch (I used to sell used cars), but there was no pressure at all. It was a very matter-of-fact conversation about what we did and didnt like, what we wanted to accomplish, how they could help us, and what they would charge. We could have very easily just left, but we didnt want to. I have no idea how we might be treated if were not "paying customers", but why would I expect to be treated like one if Im not??? Anyway, its a great group of people, great instructors, very comfortable, and they make it easy to learn. I had no idea I would enjoy dancing this much! Cant wait for our next lesson next week!!!

Three and a half years ago I decided to walk into the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. It was a life changing decision - I am finally realizing a life long dream of becoming a dancer and thanks to the private lessons, group classes and practice dance parties I am in the best shape physically, that I have been in in years. The staff and instructors are great. Their love of dance is evident in their enthusiasm and they are able to transfer that enthusiasm to the students, all while being very professional. They can help you realize any dance dream you might have.

My daughter and I recently went in for 1 lesson to learn something very simple for her wedding. We are beginners who just wanted to be able to do something other than the old clutch and sway. They were very accommodating. We had Nick very patiently teach us enough in 1 lesson a simple rhumba step and spin. JR was very polite and cordial even though we just wanted 1 lesson. Our experience was great. Id recommend any wedding goers get some help from these guys.

FUN! CHALLENGING!! When I signed up for lessons at the Arthur Murray in Severna Park, I was just hoping to be able to move to the music and not step on any toes! Eleven months later and Im dancing way beyond any level I thought myself able to reach. The instructors are professional, friendly and very encouraging. The owners are personable, approachable and interested in my progress. Im happy with the return Im getting on my investment.

Definitely the best place to learn how to dance hands down. I never thought my husband would even consider going but he ended up loving the instructor and turns out, hes a great dancer! They broke the steps down so it was easy to understand. It ended up being something we did together several times a week. Definitely a great time and worth every penny!

Ive been taking lessons here for just over a year. I absolutely love the energy, enthusiasm and professionalism of the instructors. The group classes and open dance parties each week really enhance what Ive learned in my private lessons and its been a great way to socialize and make new friends!
