This is an affordable and growing program that has the health, education and well being of our children in mind. This is by no means a "Dance Mom" program and I do not have to take a second job to keep my child in this program. It is a family oriented studio with a focus on the students/dancers as their customers. My child has been with JMD for 7 years and truly enjoys the friendships, learning experiences and the competitiveness. As a mom that insists that school comes first, it is a joy to hear the dance teachers encouraging good study habits, relating everyday basic concepts such as math and english with their dance education and having a genuine focus on the whole child. I am a person that will not rate an organization with five stars because there is always room for improvement. I think the business side of JMD could be a little cleaner but I also equate that to growing pains. As your program grows, your processes have to grow. Improvement is based on learning and not repeating the same mistakes. I will certainly keep my child in this program as long as I am able and as long as my child wants to continue with JMD. Check it out and see for yourself. "JMD is the place to be."

Joyful Motion is an excellent program. Ms. Alycia has classes for all levels of girls - beginners to advanced competition teams. My daughter has danced with Joyful Motion for 8 years - 6 of them on the competition team. She has enjoyed being challenged to grow as a dancer. The competition team has also taught her a sense of teamwork as they all have to work together to win. Ms. Alycia and the other dance teachers encourage the girls in all aspects of their life - making healthy choices, good study habits, and dedication to family and friends. I also very much appreciate that the Joyful Motion dances are age appropriate and the costumes are relatively modest. If you are looking for a place where your daughter will be encouraged to excel and will develop life long friendships, Joyful Motion is the place for you. In addition, Ms. Alycia works to keep dance affordable for all who participate. She has also increased the office staff to address the issues with a growing program.

My 3-year-old daughter takes classes here and looks forward to coming every week. She loves it, particularly the other students and her teacher. Tuition is reasonable. However, the school could stand to be a bit more organized as well as make an effort to improve communication with the parents. When we first signed up, I received a bill, but was never told about a start date. I called and left several messages inquiring about a start date, but no one ever returned my call. Finally, I got through to a live person and realized we had missed two classes. Luckily, we attended one make-up, but the non-response is troubling. Also, the owner isnt very friendly. I understand she owns a dance studio, but whenever youre a business owner, youre always in the business of customer service. Not sure if well be back next year.

An affordable and fun place to dance. Joyful Motion has become our family over the past 14 years. The caring staff and teachers make the atmosphere here a great place to learn. Miss Alycia brings years of knowledge and experience to the dance room and the recital is always very entertaining. No one can touch Miss Alycias tap numbers and I have always found her very easy to talk to. I am paying her for her experience and knowledge and I am truly getting exactly what I was hoping for. This studio is affordable and of high quality. My children have been on the competition teams for several years and we have been very pleased with the results. This is certainly a place where the students grow and mature into beautiful dancers and young women. The studio has exceeded all of my expectations!!!

My daughters have danced with the studio since they were 2 1/2 years of age and both are in their teens. I feel that this studio is family oriented, affordable and a place where my children feel wanted. The atmosphere is peaceful and comfortable. The parents sit and bounce kid ideas, receipts and life experiences off each other. I would definitely invite anyone who is looking for a place for their child/children to dance to come to Joyful Motion. You will not regret your decision and neither will your child or children!
