I came here for my aunties wake and was pleasantly surprised how amiable and helpful Richard Gates was with the whole experience. I called today (in the evening) because of that experience to help plan for my moms passing and make an appointment to come in. Whoever answered the phone was completely rude and went straight into the "money". I didnt call to do prepayments and if you had listened to me, you would have understood that I wanted to make arrangements and plan for my moms final days. I didnt call to have some associate talk to me about the cost. If I did, I would have already given you the damn check. You could have just taken a message and passed it on to Mr. Gates, but your deplorable demeanor and disregard for finding out the needs of the client was and to listen to that person made me to end the call. Next time, just listen and process! Thank you for the apology! It truly made a difference!

There are few comforting things about losing a loved one. In fact, it was the most traumatic events of my life when my father died. As an only child responsible for the arrangements of his fathers funeral, the staff at Collins funeral home were UNBELIEVABLY helpful, sensitive and concerned about mine and my mothers well being while taking care of the many details of my fathers funeral. Additionally, the cost, relative to some of the competitors in the area, was in some cases, half. That, combined with the support and comfort of a family oriented and family focused business, made bearable a fairly unbearable event. Thank you to John McHugh and the entire Collins Funeral Home staff for their love, care, concern and attention to detail inspired me to give them such a glaring review. I highly recommend them to handle the arrangements for a lost ones last celebration.

Extremely disappointing experience at this funeral home last night. I was attending a viewing and could not believe how rude several of the staff members were that worked for Collins. One staff member said to me "I hope this wraps up soon." There was still another hour of visitation remaining. Another two staff members were completely inconsiderate to several members of the VFW who had come to pay their last respects to a fallen comrade. Some of the gentlemen were in their late 80s and early 90s using canes and the staff at Collins was most concerned about squeezing them into a very tight space so that they could keep the area by the elevator cleared of traffic. Very poorly handled.

My family and I have used Collins Funeral Home several times over the past 25 years and we were extremely impressed with them. The one thing we have come to realize, especially recently, is the importance of a family owned and operated business. Before making our decision on what funeral home to use, we compared services and prices at several local funeral homes and it was obvious that Collins was the best choice. The family and staff at Collins were professional, treated us with respect, were sympathetic to our needs, and their attention to detail was impressive. Thank you to the staff at Collins for helping us through these difficult times.

For many years we have been familiar with Collins Home and attended wakes. This year they helped our family after my fathers passing. This happened just as the blizzard hit in January 2016. The folks at Collins were kind, professional, and extremely helpful. The snow was piled deep everywhere, but it did not seem to hinder them with their support for us. They also took special care for our disabled mother throughout the services. We are very grateful.

We recently lost a close family member who left behind three kids. Several friends recommended Collins and raved about the staff. In a sea of sadness and loss, the Collins staff kept us anchored. They helped us navigate the list of decisions and tasks to create a meaningful, respectful goodbye for all of us, particularly the kids. I have a newfound admiration for the difficult and reverent work they do and just how important a choice this is.

Your business manager, Frank, was very rude when I called. I will find someone else to deal with.
