I saw they had great reviews before so I started going to them. I went for a massage with my husband and daughters and it was all right, but nothing great. The waiting area was a bit cramped. I did notice they had a lot of hours. I needed a cut and color on short notice on a Saturday afternoon. Most places are closed, so I made an appointment. The cut, color and blow dry done was ok. I had to wait for a while, but thats all right. It wasnt stunningly exceptional, but I wear my hair tied up in a bun most days for work anyways, so Im not too picky. I asked when to come back for maintenance, she recommended 2 months. I made an appointment with the same stylist since I was happy enough. Sometime between the last appointment and this one, they called to say that stylist wasnt available and asked if I could come in at a different time. I couldnt so I asked for a different day. They said they could give me a different stylist on that day at that time, so I was good. My roots were growing out quite a bit, and I was really looking forward to getting them done. Today was the appointment that I was waiting months for, and my roots had grown out almost two inches. When I got there they were packed doing a bridal party. It seemed more like a Chuck E Cheese then a Spa with how noisy and hectic it was. I stood at the desk for almost 10 minutes before someone stopped long enough to talk to me. They informed me that they no longer had time to do both a cut and a color, and demanded I pick one or the other, and it was either a 20 minute or a 50 minute wait, with no where to sit. Really? I made this appointment months in advance, and confirmed the appointment instead of a reschedule, and now you dont have time? Then she tried to blame it on me for being 6 minutes late to checking in. I was standing there before 3:30. If they had gotten to me I wouldnt be late. I thought I reserved about an hour of time. I hope they werent planning on doing a six minute hair cut or color application. I probably cut into the time of getting me a glass of water. This place is pricer. I was planning on spending around $150 -$200 dollars. For that kind of money, I dont need a condescending attitude about not being 15 minutes early is late from a woman with way too big of an ego for the service shes providing. If I want to deal with that, I can get paid for it, not the other way around. The whole point that I dont mind paying that kind of money is so that I can forget about life for a while and be treated well. The whole spa experience was clearly not going to happen. I know can get better service at supercuts for a fraction of the price. I turned around and walked out. It looks like they got greedy and wanted to do both the bridal party and the individual appointments. If you cant do what you say you can do when you say you are going to do it when Im paying you to do it, and then try to make me feel bad, Im not giving you my hard earned money. Now Im worried because it seems that if you dont cancel they charge you anyways. I hope they have the credit card thats past expiration on file. I hope they dont try, because I dont want to have to argue with people about how they told me they couldnt do what I came to have done. They effectively canceled. Not me. If you really want to try this place anyways, dont give them your credit card info! For a place you pay for relaxation, they sure cause a lot of stress.

Ive gone to this spa several times in the past (I even had my Bachelorette party here back in 2015) and Ive never had any issues. I have a wedding this weekend and I had a "farmers tan" on my arms and needed to wear a strapless bridesmaid dress etc so I decided Id get a light spray tan. I have only had one spray tan prior and although it was even and not streaky (it was applied by a technician, not a machine) it was WAY too dark and I wanted to avoid any disasters. This tan is HORRIBLE! My legs are still very pale, my arms are still uneven and very pale and now I have SUPER dark, orange feet and hands that are streaky!! This is humiliating. Every where I read online now says that places that offer these sunless spray booths are supposed to provide clients with a barrier feet for both their feet and hands to avoid these results and help show clients how much to use... Spa Nijoli did not have any barrier cream, just wet and dry towels to try and "remove the product before it dries" AFTER youve already been sprayed. I scrubbed and scrubbed as soon as I got out and still ORANGE! Also, the booth has a "self cleaner" when youre done with your tan. Clearly it also needs to be sprayed down by a staff member, at least on the floor because the BOTTOMS of my feet are a dark orange/brown and I obviously did not lift up my feet during my spray tan... I will be writing another review on yelp to show photos. Needless to say I am mortified to go to this wedding this weekend and now Im stuck desperately trying to get all of this orange off. WASTE OF MONEY! And highly disappointed with these results, especially for a spa! I will be posting another review on yelp with photos

There front desk staff are airheads and due to them not removing my credit card info when I specifically called and canceled a spa service 10 days prior I was charged $80. My husband called later that day and scheduled a couples massage as a surprise and gave his credit card info it was a Valentines present and low and behold they charged him full price for the couples massage upon checking out after our massage when they admitted and knew they already charged my card for half of the service, Instead of them deducting what I was already charged they went and charged him full price and now I have to wait 3-7 days for them to refund my money. Im not impressed Ive heard nothing but great things about there other services but I am highly disappointed in there customer service had to ask for a manager because the girl that answered the phone had no idea yet she tried to argue like she did and tell me I didnt cancel my apt. Which I did they just didnt remove my info when I called and told me they did and assured me I wouldnt be charged. The massage was ok but definitely not worth the price given there a pretty big spa with high priced services, Ive had multiple massages and have been to numerous places go treat yourself to a massage at Foxwoods for the same price way better service. Or save tons of money and go get a massage at Royal Nails in Haverhill that is way less costly and just as good if not better that Spa Ni Jolis!!!! Needless to say I will not be returning for any service.

My experience at Spa Nijoli was mixed. I received a gift card several years ago and was looking forward to taking some "me" time to enjoy my spa day. I was greeted by staff that was professional and courteous. I was escorted to a lovely bathroom to change and then was brought into the room to have my massage. The room was staged appropriately, but was chilly. My masseuse was as professional as the staff who greeted me, but much like the room I was in, was somewhat cold. I found the massage to be not relaxing at all. Although my technician moved around quietly, her touch was more startling than soothing. It felt more as if she were getting hamburgers ready for the grill, than as if she was a skilled masseuse. I actually found myself looking forward to this part of my spa day being behind me. The facial part of my day was, on the other hand, relaxing and everything I had expected from Spa Nijoli! My facialist was warm, informative and quite skilled. She explained what she was doing and made excellent observations and recommendations for my skin care. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I would endorse and return to Spa Nijoli for a facial, but not a massage.
