I have been going here since Oct 2014. I like the stylist who has been cutting my hair but the last time I had my hair cut, she used the thinning shears; which I believe created a problem with the way my bangs lay. I called the salon and explained my problem and they nicely schedule me with the stylist so she could fix the problem. I am not sure what salon policy is regarding fixing a hair cut mistake, but I was very disappointed that the stylist did not rewash my hair and cut it dry. She spent all of 20 minutes "fixing" my hair cut and this morning when I dried my hair, I still have the same results with my bangs not lying properly. Interlocks spent a great deal of money to renovate their salon, I think they should renovate some of their policies as well. I had sent an email prior to my calling the salon and still have not received a callback to see if my problem was fixed or if I am happy with the results of my visit. Having doubts about venturing back for another appointment.

I arranged for a group service for my daughters 13th birthday last weekend and while two of the three women who attended to the pedicures and manicures were quite excellent, there was one who did a horrible job on my manicure. In fact, it was only last Saturday (today is Friday) and it looks so bad I had to remove the polish. She spent literally five minutes on my fingers and I could have done a better job at home and saved myself the $30.00. In addition, my daughter- the guest of honor - tells me the same woman was hurting her when she gave her a pedicure. To top it all off, she was downright unfriendly. For such a great place, and for the price involved, I expected better. At the very least she could have been pleasant - especially given the special nature of our visit. I would like to recommend Interlocks for nail services but I would be too afraid they might get this individual!

I went to the Interlocks Spa for a manicure and pedicure that I got as a gift for Valentines Day. In comparison to other spas I have been to this was disappointing. The hardly acknowledged me when I came in and nobody offered me a beverage or anything (this was the case at most other places I have been to). The manicure and pedicure were average but nothing special (the nail polish chipped after just 2 days). One other thing I noticed about the spa is that it is kind of dirty (at least the bathroom and the nail area). The tools she used for the manicure were a bit rusty. The only time the girl was really nice was when I was leaving. Overall, it was just an okay experience. I would recommend the Essencia Spa in Amesbury. Its smaller but they treat you wonderfully and make you feel special.

I feel like Interlocks service has steadily deteriorated over the past few years. Unless you are a "regular," and who can afford to be, youre rushed in, rushed out, and the staff practically goes out of their way to avoid eye contact. For their ridiculous prices I expect friendlier staff and a more relaxing experience. I went in for a haircut Sunday, desperate, my appointment was scheduled for 3:45 and I was literally done, paid, and getting back in my car by 4:15. A $62 haircut should take more than 30 minutes. The stylist seemed distracted and uninterested in what I wanted. I honestly dont know what people see in this place anymore. At this point its just a well-known name on the North Shore, and they dont try to maintain their reputation at all.

I cant help but wonder if the negative reviews are from owners of other salons, because I have been going to Interlocks for about 15 years for a weekly manicure and monthly pedicure. The receptionists are always attentive, friendly, and helpful. My services are always expertly done, complete with friendly conversation! I see either Sharon W. or Catherine A. for my manicures and pedicures. Both have always done an excellent job. Sharon G. does my brows, and they always look perfect. Kelly S. cuts my hair and has always done an exceptional cut. The facility is always clean and nicely decorated. The owner and her managers are very professional people and see to it that all is running smoothly. I would never go anywhere else.

I have been going to Interlocks for years - love my hair dresser (Cheri) and the staff is so friendly. I occasionally have manicures and pedicures and have always been pleased. But my most recent experience was outstanding. I had found since my last haircut that my hair was slowly turning yellow. When I called, one of the managers jumped on my problem and since Cheri was not in, she set me up with an appointment with David the same afternoon. He worked on my hair for hours, got the yellow out and we discovered what was causing it. And after all that, they wouldnt take a penny. Even though I have been a regular customer and always happy, I never wrote a review before. i cant imagine being in better hands.

My dear sister treated me to a hair cut and color here when I was visiting from California this week. I had a wonderful experience. Loretta, my stylist, is a true artist and pro. She transformed my blah "bob" into a beautiful, easy-to-style cut that I love (just washed and dried it myself this morning and Yay! it worked!) and she very masterfully highlighted my hair using some lowlights and turned my brassy color into a very natural blend that Ive been getting lots of compliments on already. Wish I werent so far away - but then, it might be worth the round trip fare to come back more often! Many thanks.

It was suppose to be a wonderful Christmas gift from my mother to have my hair color corrected, so we went together for a consultation. I was so excited. When i got to interlocks the staff was very nice and polite. The person who was suppose to be giving me a consultation was very brief, snippy and almost seemed annoyed that I was there. I felt unappreciated and left extremely disappointed, my mother couldnt believe the way the stylist had acted either. I will be going somewhere else to get my hair done.

Several women I know have tried without success to make appointments here. One said she walked in, and the receptionist looked at her and simply said "no." It seems that Interlocks only accepts people with a certain look. If youre not a regular customer and you dont have your modeling portfolio with you, you may well be wasting your time and Interlocks to try to get an appointment here.

It took me a very long time to find a stylist that I was willing to stick with, but I have been seeing Michelle for a several years now. She always does a great job. My color always holds up well from visit to visit, as do the haircuts. Everyone at the salon is professional and friendly, and I have never been made to feel as if Im anything but a valued client.

I honestly dont believe the negative reviews - ive been going to this salon for years about 2x yearly for massage, hair style & color - NEVER has anyone been rude & nothing is dirty!? The stylist KNOWS how to cut hair & does amazing color - he LISTENS & asks questions to ensure he knows exactly what you want! Worth every penny & the 40 minute drive!
