Ive been going to Hounds since they opened, and can honestly say Ive never had a better haircut experience than I have in their shop. The laid back and friendly environment combined with the unbelievable attention to detail and quality service have made me feel more like a member of the Hounds family than a customer. Whenever I go in for a cut, I find myself jumping right into conversations about anything and everything with every member of the team. Making an appointment is definitely a must, especially on the weekends, otherwise the wait will most likely be longer than anticipated. Nolan and James have done a spectacular job fusing the traditional "Gentlemans Barbershop" with a new-age, young vibe, and it definitely pays off. As most business expand, they tend to lose a little bit of their personality and culture, and that is the exact opposite at Hounds. As Hounds has grown over the past few years, it has only gotten better. I refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else, even though the trip from my home in Downtown Boston to Sudbury isnt exactly convenient. If youre on the fence about trying a new barbershop, make an appointment, and you wont regret it.

When you step into Hounds youre paying for the hipster atmosphere not a great cut. Do not be wowed by their nice website and interior decorating skills. Ill start off by saying that they one star because the place is clean and the staff was nice. My barbers name was Kyle and he seemed like a good guy but he basically cut my hair like a 5 year old boy. The cut is uneven and it appeared he had little to no experience using scissors. I asked for the hair to be tapered low fading into longer at the top and its basically a single length buzz cut with an uneven top. I am wearing a hat for the next 3 weeks until my normal barber can fix it. My coworkers are laughing at me (no lie). This place is not worth $30 for a haircut you could pay $12 for at a SuperCuts. I would not recommend this place to a friend (or enemy).

I started having my haircut by James at a shop in Wellesley. Best haircut ever, despite his young age. When he started his new shop, I searched him out until I found him. James is a total haircut artist. He will make you look better. He will capture your essence... if you are fashion forward, he can do that. If you are a jock, he can do that. If you are a button down business guy, he can do that. He knows what you want, even without asking. I have had dozens of barbers, including one in NYC that charged $150 and did movie stars, etc. James is way better. A 7 star experience. The only problem I have now is getting an appointment without calling way in advance, tough for me.

Hounds is far and away one of the nicest barbershops I have ever been to. The service is unmatched and the cuts themselves are unrivaled. My barber, Noah, has done a phenomenal job each and every time Ive been. Hes their newest barber and his cuts are really impressive. I would recommend Hounds and Noah to anyone looking for a great haircut!

I have been getting my haircut at Hounds for well over a year now. The people, the place, and the service are consistently top notch, whether your appointment is with James or Nolan (the owners), Kyle, Anthony, Shawn or Noah. My boys love it too and wont go anywhere else.

Terrible service- it took an hour and a half (not a typo) to get a hair cut. Why? Training a new barber- just what a customer wants to hear. Do that on your own time Hounds. Have respect for your customers- the worst!
