After years of trying to find a barbershop that could give me the perfect haircut, Ive found it at Hairsmyth. I must have tried every barbershop and salon within 25 miles of Worcester and for some reason I never stumbled onto Hairsmyth until just today, but damn am I glad I did. Walking in for the first time, the shop itself is awesome. A myriad of sports memorabilia adorns the walls, ample chairs for waiting, and even the old-style ornate leather barber chairs (little small for a big dude like myself, but still comfortable nonetheless). Jeff greeted me as I walked in like wed known each other for years, which brings me to my favorite thing about Hairsmyth: the service is second to none. Whenever Ive gone to another hair cutting place, sure everyone was friendly (most of the time), but there was always a detached feeling. At Hairsmyth, Jeff will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Ill admit I get nervous in social situations, so just the thought of trying to articulate what kind of hair style Ive been chasing for years is nearly herculean, but Jeff took every ounce of difficulty out of it. I had dropped a couple hair style terms I had read about, and Jeff sat right down to google it himself so he could give me the exact cut I was looking for. After that, we sat down and he walked me through each step of what he was doing so that I could be a better informed client and would feel more comfortable as the cut went on. Once he got partway through, and finished filling out my client card (a helpful little index card to help Jeff make the same cuts during a customers next visit) it felt like a few mere seconds had passed and he was already finished. In just a few short minutes, Jeff had given me THE BEST haircut I have ever gotten in my entire life. This is not exaggeration, not dramatic flair, Im not kidding: The. Best. Haircut. EVER. If I was forced at gunpoint to try to come up with a complaint about Hairsmyth, it would simply be that the experience didnt last long enough (which is not actually a complaint at all). This was an enjoyable experience not only for the great cut I received but the atmosphere was wonderful and Jeff certainly makes you feel as comfortable as if you were family. Hairsmyth has gained a customer for life.

I went to Hairsmyth for the first time, a few days ago, because the barber shop I usually go to was closed during a snow storm. Jeff, the proprietor, immediately greeted me, sat me down, and told me about the history of his shop, and how it is run. He was friendly, talented, and very funny (He kept me laughing throughout the entire visit). Jeff asked me at least a dozen questions about how I wanted my hair cut, to make sure that there were no miscommunications about what I wanted. I found any suggestions he made to be very helpful while I was trying to figure out how I wanted my hair cut. Throughout the session, he would stop and ask if I liked how he was cutting my hair, and he was concerned if there was any hesitation/doubt in my answer. He was very dedicated to making sure I was a satisfied customer. He writes every customers name down on a card, along with the specifics on how their hair was cut that day. He keeps the cards on file so that you can return to the shop, and get your hair cut the same way, by anyone in the shop, without trying to explain how you want your hair to be cut every time you visit. All in all, it was a very good experience, and I doubt that I will be visiting my old barber shop any time soon.

I first discovered Hairsmyth Barber Shop when I needed a quick haircut early in the morning a couple of months back and I read the reviews and found out that they where open as early as 6:30AM and where very well rated so I thought Id give them a try. As soon as I entered the shop, Jeff was there to greet me with a smile and helped me get the haircut just right. He included a lot of advice and input and his style of cutting allows him to use his expertise along with your personal judgment to arrive at the perfect outcome, a great haircut! The service is great and from the moment I arrived I felt welcomed. I just got another haircut there today and after another great experience I had to write a review. I live between Worcester & Boston and get my haircut at different locations throughout both and I have to say that Hairsmyth Barber Shop is one of the best locations Ive been to for price, service and overall experience. Definitely give this shop a try, I totally recommend it. PS- I noticed he had an Xbox 360 hooked up to the TV too, Im gonna have to use that next time!

Thank god for Google reviews lol.. So i Just moved down here from Vermont a week ago and needed a haircut. both me and my brother from another mother had been seeing the same guy for over 10 years so we were a bit nervous about getting a new barber shop but i googled it and found this one, i figured what the hell people say hes awesome let go check him out, and boy are we glad we did, i normally get a low fade, and my buddy a medium fade skin tight. The whole time Jeff keep showing me my hair and always used 1 size bigger this way as he says he can always go lower but he cant put it back on ya, im glad he did this cause i wasnt as low as i expected and more what he called a slight fade, and once he figures out how you like your hair he writes down the details on a card so when you go back he knows how you like your hair cut. He was super friendly and just an overall great Barber, im very glad i listened to the reviews cause i found my new Barber alot easier than i was expecting.

I read the reviews about Jeff and decided to give him a try. WOW! He is absolutely great, a very nice guy to talk to, and you can tell he takes pride in his craft. First off, let me start off by saying I am extremely picky about my hair cut and have gone to several other places prior who messed up my hair pretty bad. Like all the reviews have stated, Jeff asked me a lot of good questions to understand what I was looking for. I was very impressed with his approach as no other place took the time like he does to determine what I was looking for. Once I filled him in he simply nailed it! He cut and blended everything perfectly the way I wanted and in addition, he made some suggestions along the way that made the cut even better. Jeff took notes for the next time around (which is great so I know I will get the same cut each time without worry). His prices are very reasonable. I have found my new barber! Thanks a million Jeff!

Im new to Worcester, moved here from Indianapolis and asked my girlfriend where to get my haircut at. Her grandfather recommended Hairsmyth, so after my haircut and a lot of laughs, I realized this might be the best barbershop Ive been inside of. His note cards on each persons hair he cuts is the most ingenious idea, we dont have to go through the same discussions every time about how I want my hair cut. All this writing about a haircut is reminding me its time for another cut, this barber is a doctor in cutting hair! Excellent shop, clean and an enjoyable place to go. The main reason I keep going back is he offered to come cut my girlfriends grandfathers hair (who happens to be a survivor of Pearl Harbor). That small act of kindness is all it took for me to rave about Hairsmyth
