I lived in St. Louis for several years trying beautician, salon, etc via ads, word of mouth with varying degrees of success. Finally took a recommendation from a friend whose hair was always together. That was 10 years ago and Im still a customer. I usually see the owner - Marquita - but with her schedule and mine over the years Ive had to see others. Ive had a few bad experiences - usually with the new, young stylist but Marquita has always been approachable and reasonable in resolving any problems Ive had. With my schedule now I see Kim most of the time. Ive never been adventurous with my hair but after being with Marquita a year or two I went from mid-length to short [to everyones surprise] and I get compliments all the time. When the gray exploded she and her staff have protected it and maintained it well [every once and a while they try to get me to try color - not ready for that yet]. If you have a bad experience here, youre one of the few. I bring out of town family and friends here for a treat. My niece goes there on her when shes in town - and shes picky. Ive tried spa services here and there, enjoyed it but trust me get the 1hr massage, 1/2 hr just isnt long enough. Enjoy.

I wish I could select -1. I have been using the services at Studio 6 for years! My daughter went there and got a sew-in done by Valerie, she did a really poor job on the braids and it started coming down after 3 days. I call and spoke with the owner she scheduled an appointment for Valerie to take a look at the sew-in on Thursday 12/22/2016 at 11:30AM. On that morning the owner call me to tell me that Valerie called in and she needed to reschedule. I told her that we need to have this done onThursday because we were going out of town for the holiday. She said someone else could take a look at her hair and maybe tighten it up. I told her that wouldnt work because the braids were coming undone. The owner said " she wouldnt take it down completely and the only thing she could do is tighten it up. I informed her that over the years I have paid lots of money into her business and I didnt feel she was not handling the situation the way a I felt she should. I will report this to the Better Business Bureau. So if you want quality service do not go to Studio 6 Salon and service.

As a college student on a budget I decided to get a sew-in from this salon.. huge mistake! The woman braided my sew-in so tight Im afraid I actually LOST my edges (the perimeter of hair [leave out]). For the past six years Ive worn sew-ins and I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. Even after I repeatedly told the woman "I have a sensitive scalp in certain areas" , "the braids are too tight", "thats really uncomfortable" her response was "the tighter the braid the better" , and "it doesnt look tight to me" My experience with this salon was extremely painful, and a waste of money 0/10 WOULD NOT recommend!

They take you money and give no service! Wish I could say I had an experience. I bought a gift card for my girlfriends birthday so she could get a pedicure. Unfortunately, she was not able to use it right away. She was having some issues and ended up seeing a podiatrist. When she tried to use it, she was told it had expired! I bought the gift card long distance. There was no mention of an expiration date. She tried to talk to staff (they were rude) and the manager (she never called back!). This is cheap and tacky. A low rent practice. I can not recommend this Salon.

I was given a gift card for local salons in the area. I found the Florissant location. I called and was given an appt time. I show up on time and was taken back for my mani/pedi. During my mani the technician was pulled away to perform a massage on another customer. Another tech comes in to finish my mani. I noticed the time and realized that Ive been here for an hour. Now Im waiting for my pedi. Yet another tech has been assigned to work on my hands. She did a horrible job. Needless to say - Ill never go back. I did complain at the front desk and she simply ignored me.

Im on a budget and time is money too. Thats why I like Studio 6. The prices are very reasonable and they offer specials and promotions frequently. I like that they are open on Mondays and that they have evening hours that fit my schedule. I usually visit on Monday afternoons and once I went in on a Friday at 5p. They get me in and out in around 2 hours or less even when I get a relaxer. They have free wifi so I can get some work done while Im under the dryer. The stylists are pleasant and skilled and the salon has a peaceful environment.

My friends and I took our daughters there for a Princess Party. The staff literally treats the girls like princesses, serving them lunch, cupcakes, and providing a mani/pedi. In addition, there were plenty of activities, including arts and crafts and a play area, to keep the girls occupied while they were waiting their turns in the pedi chairs. The only thing that would make it better would be a little wine and cheese for the parents while they wait. :)

I scheduled an appointment for 1pm to get a wash and style. When I entered into the business there was no one at the front desk to greet/assist me. So I waited in the front for 5mins and decided to walk to the back to see if anyone would assist me. A stylist finally came to the front to help me. I had to wait an additional 45mins before I sat in a stylist chair. Didnt like my style at all. Wont go back or recommend anyone to this place.

Same as another review on here. Place is in bad shape. Natasha did not use all 3 bundles like I asked her to. I even AGREED to pay the extra $10 for the 3rd bundle but she didnt put it in. My sew in is extremely thin. Im very upset this hair was for my 21ST birthday party and now I have to figure something out before hand. Disappointed, frustrated and upset. This is not a good business.

Very unprofessional , I usually dont give bad reviews but I asked for a silk press and the girl literally just flat ironed my hair with non ceramic irons .. worst experience ever ! Please dont go here .. the owner wasnt friendly at all ! After sitting waiting for a stylist for over 3 hours I was fed up . And highly upset to finally get in the chair and leave looking the way I came ..

It was a very pleasant experience. Very neat, clean and friendly services. We held my daughters birthday party there with their Princess Party Package. My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time while I received excellent care when getting my sew-in. I would really recommend everybody partake in their services. I WILL make a return visit.
