I really hate to give Classics Barber Shop, and Leroy a three star review, the quality of his haircuts deserve 5 stars, but..... I have been going to Leroy for close to three years, almost every two to three weeks. Leroy is in my opinion the best barber around hands down, 5 stars. I have tried many different barbers in and around Reno. Leroy is the best. The shop is really cool and Leroy is an all-around nice guy, and gives the best haircuts. I have had no problem waiting two hours for Leroy to cut my hair; I have waited a couple of hours many times. The problem with Classics Barber Shop is the fact that I can no longer get in to get a haircut from Leroy. For the past three to four months I get off work at 3:30, I race over to Classics Barber Shop hoping that the barber pole is still outside. If the barber pole is not outside, then he is either closed or has enough clients to last him until 5:30. Now days, at 3:30 the barber pole is always put away. So on Wednesday the 7th, I was going to another barber down the street from Classics with the hopes of maybe seeing the barber pole outside, to my great surprise it was! I quickly pulled in, excited to get a great haircut from Leroy. I walked in, looked around and saw three people waiting; I sat down and awaited my turn. I did not care one bit that I would be waiting two hours. I said to Leroy “what’s up Leroy” he just looked at me and said “sorry I’m closed; I already turned 4 other people away”! I was kind of shocked, I had been going to Leroy for three years, and all he could say is “sorry I’m closed”. The barber pole was outside, and anyone that has gone there for a while knows that means his is open. He could have been a little more cordial to someone who has patronized his shop for three years. I am sad to say that I will no longer go to Classics Barber Shop; I will use the barber shop right down the street. Once that guy retires I will find another barber, but unfortunately it won’t be Leroy. If you can get in to see Leroy you will not be disappointed with your haircut, you will get a five star haircut for sure. If you can get in.

I was receiving and requesting a combover haircut for about 1 n half month until one day I was forced to receive a fresh cut from someone else, who is actually up to date with the new generation haircut style. That day Drew asked who and where I cut my hair. His response is that "he doesnt know how to cut a comb over" reason why is because he messed up my natural line up for my hard part so everything else is unaligned... After 2 haircut from Drew my co workers asked me where I got my fresh cut.... Ive always asked for the same style since day 1!!!

I usually come to Classics Barber shop every other thursday to get a hair cut. I dont mind waiting for my hair cut. If your impatient and if your on a schedule I suggest you look for other barbers or wait for your turn. Leroy is a very detailed barber and a hair cut could take from 30 - 45 minutes depending on the hair cut. I been coming to classics for a few months and so far I think classics is the best barber shop in town..

Leroy has a great shop and is by far the best barber in town. I have been going to him for a few years now and never have i had a bad cut. He has got to be one of the nicest guys i have ever met. I have been to many barbers in town and once i started going to him i have never gone anywhere else. You will have to wait but only because the guy knows his stuff. THANKS LEROY!!

Truly the best place in Sparks for a haircut. I drive an hour and a half, maybe more, for a haircut from this place. The barbers are funny, great people with very talented skill. They just dont cut hair, they get to know you. A barbershop worth getting attention. A Classic.

Shame on the client thats upset that he could not get in after hours. As a barber we put in 12 to 14 hours a day trying to accommodate clients that dont plan ahead. we have a life and we have families. I have no doubt that if he couldve got you in he wouldve have. Dee

In Reno visiting and I usually do not get my haircut done anywhere besides my barber. I had a slight afro going so I googled around and chose here due to the reviews. This guy got my haircut done right first try. No doubt earns the 5 star reviews

Awesome atmosphere and extremely knowledgeable. I am from out of town and was here for work and Leroy went out of his way to make sure I got what I wanted done and it was perfect. Bar far the Best haircut I have ever had.

Leroy is the best barber in Reno, hands down. Downside, there is usually a line. Upside, everyone waits because he does that great of a cut, and at a great price. If you have time, get the hot shave, its worth your time.
