Didnt even get my hair cut.. Called a day beforehand to try to make an appointment and was told the shop was strictly walk-ins only. When I got there I was third in line, and there were two people being tended to which is expected considering its a popular shop but only has two chairs. I had no problem waiting for the customers that were there ahead of me to be tended to. Once the first chair freed up, the gentleman that was first in line took the seat and had his hair cut, and another gentleman walked in and sat down in the waiting area. (I assumed he was a walk-in since "they only do walk-ins") When the next chair was free, the gentleman that had just walked in stood up and sat down to have his hair cut becuase he had an appointment. I was a little confused since I had been told it was walk-ins only, but I figured mens haircuts didnt take long so I waitied it out. Two more gentleman had walked in and the same thing happened. They somehow had their names on a list and were helped before myself and everyone else that had been waiting. I realized then that I would be waiting well over an hour to even be seen, and thats if nobody else with an appointment walked in. I just wonder why they would tell me its a walk-in only shop when they clearly had people on a schedule. Only reason Hold Fast isnt getting a one star review is that it did genuinely look like a good and reliable place to get a haircut. But after this experience I certainly wont be back.

I have been going to Hold Fast since the guys moved over from Choppers in Frenchtown. I can always count on Hold Fast to give me a great cut. I have only gone to the guys at Hold Fast, formerly Choppers, for the past 6 years. Whenever I want a new look or need to get cleaned up, I can always count on Hold Fast. Both of the barbers are very professional, which I believe has led to Hold Fasts loyal following, and excellent people. Also, Hold Fast offers a hot shave, and, If you have never had a hot shave, Hold Fast would be the place to get it done. The hot shave with the straight edge razor is quite an experience and leaves me feeling like a new man. I cannot say enough positive things about Hold Fast, I would recommend Hold Fast to any man looking to get a hair cut. Summed up in a single word, Hold Fast is EXCELLENT.

I recently moved to Flemington and needed a haircut before my wedding. A quick google search and I found this very highly rated gem, located just near Liberty Village. I had high hopes this would be my new spot and I was not disappointed. I am so impressed with the atmosphere, with the service and of course, with the haircut, that I will be coming back here even if/when I leave the area. What a fantastic place. Shout out to Rich for being an absolute boss and giving me the best haircut ive ever had.

Two of the best barbers on the entire east coast. Their skills are untouchable. I drive over an hour there and over an hour back and wouldnt have it any other way. Besides being two of the best barbers, Rich and Jeremy are two of the funniest, friendliest, most welcoming, humble dudes out there. I just got cut earlier today and the place was packed and they banged out flawless cut after flawless cut without sacrificing quality. HOLD FAST, Thanks for all you guys do!!

Just go in. You dont even know there your friends yet. The cut is mixed with old world style and craft while hanging out with friends. They also have a "pre pay" option if you walk in and theres a wait, you can pre pay and come back and no matter what your next if you have pre paid. We all take pride in our appearance to be successful, start from the top of your head with the best cut around and work your way down. You can count on these guys.

Very professional barber shop. Straight razor head or beard, hot towel and shave was amazing. Rich and Jeremy give the best cuts around. Just moved into the area and I have tried several barbers the past few months, Im blown away by their professionalism and the skill the put into their work while holding great conversation. As long as these guys are around this is the only place I will go.
