(CONTINUED) I decided to call Simply Hair today to see if I could talk to Vanessa. During our second visit together, as stated above, she did put a few foils in my hair from my roots that I truly did love. They were done beautifully and looked like little strands of gold. Considering our past interactions I thought it appropriate to speak to her directly and see if she would be willing to try again. I left my number with the receptionist and Vanessa called me shortly after on my cell. The conversation was a joke to say the very least. I explained to her who I was and she quickly remembered. I told her that I overall was never a fan of the ombre but explained that I did think her highlights were perfect. She, true to nature, took a defensive stance immediately. In a condescending manner started reciting her resume AGAIN about New York fashion week and even went as far as to say that shes not concerned with whether or not I was happy with the services she provided because she KNOWS she did an awesome job. I then apologized (even though there was nothing to apologize for) for the way the information was relayed to her last time and assured her that when I called the salon and requested that my concerns be kept confidential I was doing it to avoid insulting or offending her. That was her cue to first tell me that thats how things are in the salon field, and that the second stylist was one of her best friends so she would have found out one way or another, very professional. Secondly, she got on her completely inappropriate soap box and started lecturing me on the amount of time that she “worked for free” for me. Said she came in at night, came in on her day off, processed my hair twice the second time so technically worked on me 3 times. She explained that if someone is not happy with their service and they go to another stylist that the money gets transferred to the second stylist. I felt the need to defend myself after that rude comment by reminding her that I tipped her $80/$20 so she def did not work for free. Her response was that she went and had her hair colored at another salon recently and had to go back a second time (funny, when I do it its annoying but when she does it its fair game?) she both paid and tipped both times. Well, considering I offered to pay ALL THREE TIMES and had her and the owner Amy insist otherwise, but still managed to tip EVERYTIME, I just cant take her self righteous scolding very seriously.

Do not go to this place. My hair turned out awful and it costs a fortune! To start off, they changed my appointment time 20 minutes before I was supposed to be there. Then I try to explain what I want and the lady gives me attitude and looks at me like she has no clue what Im talking about. Then I get my hair washed and it smelled like smoke and my whole back got soaking wet. Found out later when I got home that the shirt I wore is ruined due to color all over the back. Then I get my hair cut and she doesnt trim any of the layers and after drying I find out my hair is bright orange/yellow. I just wanted to get out of there and I go to pay and it ended up costing $238!!!!! I have never payed more than $140 for the same process anywhere else. I felt and looked like crap leaving this place and will NEVER go there again. Not just due to bad service, but the prices are outrageous. And you dont find that out until the end.

Always great! I have been to this salon numerous times and have always been well pleased. I have gotten my nails done, pedicures, waxing, and hair cuts and color. Always friendly service, never had a problem. I would highly recommend this salon for friendly, contemporary service. Best salon in the area and Ive lived here over 30 years. Been going there a long, long time and will continue.

COMPLETELY unprofessional & poorly educated staff! Stylists leave their LUNCH on their station (absolutely unsanitary & against state board regs) & FRY hair during their perm processes

Love Ashleys cuts and color..I am a VERY picky person and she did such a great job I referred my mom, sister and friend. They ALL loved her. I would recommend her to anyone!!!
