MOVING EXPRESS - I hired a broker to ensure best price for my move. I was laid off and sold my home and needed to move. As promised by the Broker they were to call in advance 48 hours. They did not. They were slow and lazy, I had all boxes and several pieces of furniture in the garage and all other furniture in place for an easy pick-up - they showed no gratitude or anything, they spoke to each other in Spanish - discussing how they were going to gain more money on this move. They are NOT professional movers. They did nothing to protect my door facing - denting them and scratching the walls. They did not protect my hardwood floors, leaving furniture scratches all through the house, when I showed them the scratches they said it was my problem. I worked 4 extra hours fixing their damage. Therefore I had to stay in a hotel, my drive would have taken me until 2:00 a.m. They used my restroom, which is fine, but they had no manners and didnt ask and left feces on the toilet. They left each room a disaster and didnt pick up a single piece of tape, boxes etc.. They threw cigarette butts in my garage and yard, there has never been a cigarette on my property ever! The quote was for me to pay $633.00 upon pick up and $633.00 on delivery. They charged me $1606.00 and indicated I would have to pay the same upon delivery. I have been moved professionally by corporations and I have never witnessed any thing as this move. I cant read the items picked up, nor do I have their names except a first name from the mover writing the paperwork. I am not sure the second mover is allowed to work in the US, nor the first mover. He had very little English and didnt know what he was doing. They mentioned stuff took up too much space, if they had dis assembled my furniture as promised space would have been adequate. There manager phoned me he had very broken English as well. I am fearful I will never see my furniture again and if I do it will be unrecognizable. Desired outcome full refund due to the conduct of Moving Express... ( we can possible negotiate a discounted rate upon delivery ) (The initial Broker Settled with me, they realized I was scammed by one of their agents) Now I am being scammed by Moving Express. They should honor the quote given and not penalize the person moving, I would have not chosen these two companies had I known I would lose most my savings. Again I am laid off, I had to sell my house and I had to move. I picked the best Broker with detailed professional movers, I was not given this service. The worst thing that sticks in my mind, I am not 100% sure they have the citizenship to work in the US, they wanted to throw my furniture in the front yard if I did not pay them over $600.00 quoted, they smoked in my garage, and parked the truck in my yard. This is the worst moving experience of my life. As mentioned above I filed a complaint with the broker and they paid knowing they were completely scamming me..

I have had nothing but trouble with this company since the day they were contracted to move my household goods. My things were already in storage and just needed to be moved to my new location once Ive found housing. I got the original estimate, then paid a deposit on the move early in the week with the items scheduled to be picked up that weekend. This ordeal began with me calling on Thursday to find out what time they would be arriving to pick up my things on Friday, only to find out that they would "pick them up on Saturday." On the next day-Friday, I called to confirm a pick up time and was told that they would get back to me. I received an email saying they would pick my things up the next day between 3-4pm. I heard from them again when I got a voicemail at 6:15pm saying they would not be able to do the pick up on Saturday. In the voicemail, the young lady at the front desk asks me to call back. I called back only to find out that the place closes at 6pm and no phone calls are taken after that. I was charged for an additional months storage fees (no-proration) because they could not pick up my things in a 3 day window. I got a phone call from their office on Saturday morning, only to hear there was nothing she could do. I asked when they would be picking up my things, to which she had no answer. My things did not get picked up until the following Tuesday, and when asked about a discount because of the inconvenience, I was told talk to the carrier. I got a discount from him alright. After telling me that hes charging me extra "because I have a lot of things" I ended up getting a final price over $1100 more than the estimated quote. That would be understandable if there were many things left out of the quote, however the guy that picked up my things told me that the weight that was quoted was a good quote and right around what the weight was. I was told in getting the quote, that it wasnt based on the number of items but the space and weight taken up in the truck...so needless to say I was FURIOUS. As of right now, I STILL DONT KNOW WHERE MY STUFF IS!! It should have been delivered by July 5 (or July 4 had I believed what the young lady at customer service said). I will not EVER recommend this company OR the moving broker that outsourced this job, as Ive had to repeatedly call and contact them because they dont give courtesy calls to say "btw we arent picking your things up today." It would have been simple to just cancel the process, but unfortunately, Id already paid my deposit prior to all this bull happening. It wouldve been easier and cheaper to just do it myself, but I needed to move fairly quickly for the new job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company is horrible! We went through a moving broker to get the best deal and this is the company we ended up with. No one told us that we would have to follow the truck to a weigh station to find out the price of the move. The nearest weigh station to us was 3 hours away! So instead, they estimated the weight. I can not be positive because I did not see it get weighed but I am pretty sure they over estimated by A LOT just so they could make some extra money. They were not honest with us about the requirements and were rude when we questioned things. They then told us it would be 4 to 14 days for our things to arrive so we hurried up to get everything straight for delivery. When we called to find out where are things were and we were told that they did not know where I stuff was! I was furious as they had all of my personal belongings. They told us repeatedly that they would call us back and never did leaving us to call them back several times only to find out our belongings were still in storage in New Jersey!!! We were told that we would have 48 hours notice prior to the delivery of our things, but we got less than a 24 hour notice. They told us they would be at our new home between 9 and 10 in the morning and did not arrive until after noon. They were then rude to my husband when he insisted that he would prefer to pay by card so we had record because they wanted cash. This company is horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone! This was our first big move and thanks to this company it was a nightmare of an experience! I will be contacting our moving broker to let them know what I think of this company! Completely unprofessional, lazy, and rude!
